The Space:
We cannot wait for you to make yourselves at home, right near the Chain of Lakes!
The rental space is the entire 2nd floor of the duplex and the perfect place to relax after exploring the city! We've paid careful attention to every detail, providing high-end furnishings throughout every part of the house. This home has two bedrooms (a desk for remote work in the larger room), a spacious living room, cozy dining area and updated kitchen with stainless steel appliances and quartz countertops. Don't forget to grab a cup of coffee (on us!) and enjoy the sunrise and birds while you sit in front of the fire table on the new deck.
Whether you're coming to Minneapolis for work, play, family time, or any other reason, we're confident you'll find a haven of rest in this space combined with proximity to everything the city has to offer.
Guest Access:
Keypad entry locks to enter the living space, along with secure garage access. This entire space will be your private residence, fully available for your enjoyment. If you need assistance at any time, your host DayAway Vacation Rentals is available 24/7!
The Neighborhood:
Walk out the front door and a few blocks to the west, you will run right into the lake! An abundance of activities and restaurants in the neighborhood, be sure to check out the virtual guestbook when you arrive!
Getting Around:
Neighborhood has abundance of street parking, but we also offer free, secure garage parking for up to 2 cars, along with free, street parking. We also offer a tandem bike, 2 road bikes, and 4 helmets.
Other Things to Note:
We ask that you please be respectful of our property, as we have worked very hard to create a unique and fun experience for you as our guests!
-No parties or large gatherings. Only those included on the reservation are allowed in the space.
-Smoking/vaping is prohibited inside. If you do smoke outside, please clean up all remnants.
-Always keep the garage door closed
-No pets allowed.
-Toilets are for toilet paper only.
-No grease in the sink.
You will be held responsible for any damage incurred to the house during your stay. If something is broken or damaged, please reach out to us to let us know ASAP - it will help us address any issues quickly for you and for our future guests.
Please remember that this property is our house and not a hotel. We have poured our heart and soul into this house. Please be respectful of the property and the neighborhood. The cleaning service is hired to only wash linens, clean bathrooms and surfaces. They do not clean up unnecessary trash or mess left behind. If there is any damage or excessive mess incurred during your stay, your group will be held responsible.

Great proximity to businesses, restaurants and highway. Clean and well appointed apartment. We enjoyed our stay in this cute and classy place! Check-in and check-out was simple and fast. We appreciated the two car garage as well!
The apartment was spacious and very clean. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked, and there were thoughtful touches like a couple of huge golf umbrellas (which we needed) and a first-aid kit (which we thankfully didn't). Having a two-car garage was a nice bonus. The area is quiet, with Lake Bde Maka Ska only a few blocks away. Wonderful bakery/cafe (Black Walnut) an easy walk, and lots of other restaurants a longer walk or a very short drive away. Would stay there again.
We were very satisfied with our stay. The apartment was well stocked, clean, convenient, and just right for us. The host was very responsive when we had questions. We would stay here again.
Out stay worked out very nicely. Super nice clean and every room, everything we needed in the kitchen thank you so much for the coffee. It was comfortable in the living room and we loved stepping out the door and just in a couple of blocks you could see the lake and we had wonderful morning walks. We were very very busy while we were there with some family events and we have to tell you that one of our favorite and appreciated things was that you provided us with a garage for our vehicle we felt so good about being able to keep the cars in the garage because we were hauling all kinds of gifts and valuable things back-and-forth in the vehicle so thank you so much for that. We would love to come back sometime and stay with you again, Marvin was extremely helpful when we had some time on the phone walking me through the thermostat.settings. It worked perfectly really nice having windows to open in the evenings too. The surroundings were calm, quiet and lots of birds singing outside those windows. It was lovely.
The apartment was ideal and exactly as described. It was very clean, and very comfortable with a lovely, well-equipped kitchen. We didn’t make use of the outside area, or the bicylces, but they seemed in great condition, and with the nearby bike paths around the lake that would be a nice option next time.
I really enjoyed this rental! I would say the only thing that could improve would be the pillow quality, but aside from that everything met my expectations.
This was a fantastic property. We especially appreciated the garage because we brought bikes along. The interior is exceptionally attractive and functional, the kitchen was spotless and well appointed, and the owner was quick to respond to our questions. We couldn't have been more pleased.

Stayed here with a friend. The place was very comfortable and represented accurately in the listing. We don’t do any cooking, but had everything we needed in the kitchen. It was nice to have a good supply of dishes, silverware and hangers, which is rare in a vacation rental. The neighborhood is really nice and we enjoyed walking around looking at the houses and gardens. We had a couple of issues during the stay, which our hosts were quick to address and make sure everything was ok for us. Would definitely stay here again!
Great location close to lakes, grocery store, coffee shop, bus line etc. The apartment was clean and comfortable. Host was very attentive to our needs.

We enjoyed our stay, and I would stay here again. I loved walking down to the lake. Garage parking is a great bonus, and would be a super advantage in the winter months. Property is very clean. Host was easy to work with.
We truly enjoyed our stay! It was so conveniently located to the lake and great coffee shops. Everything was very clean and the check in process was seamless—all around great stay! Thanks again!
We really enjoyed our stay for four nights in early June. The house was impeccably clean, well furnished, with lots of extras that made it comfortable. Marvin was a great host. Always accessible for questions and instructions. We would stay there again.

We really enjoyed our stay in South Uptown. The unit was perfect for our group of 4, tastefully updated. It’s in a great location near the lake but close enough to downtown. It was nice to be able to use the garage to park. Would definitely visit again.
