Lisa's place is in an excellent location, walking distance to restaurants, museums, Nautilus and Waterside. The apartment has the great old-school charm of late 19th-century southern homes, with high ceilings and beautiful appointments. Lisa was prompt, friendly and helpful in all correspondences. We had a fantastic time and hope to be able to return in the future!
Our stay while visiting our daughter was perfect. The apartment is absolutely gorgeous and centrally located to where we needed to be. I love that there was a washer and dryer so when we got home it was easy to just unpack. Hosts were informative and responded quickly. I would highly recommend this place. Thank you so much.
It is spacious and comfortable. You need to be able to climb steps with your baggage but it is really nice once you are there,I would be pleased to return.
We visited Norfolk for a short work trip and rented this historic apartment instead. It was more spacious and beautiful than I thought from the pictures. Access was very easy and communication with Lisa was super accommodating. If you get a chance to stay, do! You won’t regret it. We already discussed staying there again in the Spring. Thank you for the easy and wonderful stay!

We found the property to be charming and appreciated all the historical information provided. It was a special occasion for us and our stay in The Haven will be part of our memory of the time together before Fariha became a U.S. citizen.
I think we may be entailed to a rebate on our damage deposit, but am not sure. If so, please post the reimbursement to our American Express card.
We were initially slightly wary of booking this properly due to the lack of reviews on VRBO, but I am so glad that we took the chance! If you enjoy historic properties, I highly recommend checking this one out. It's been renovated, but still has all of the charm you would expect from a historic home. The neighborhood is quiet, with cute cobblestone streets, and there is a view of the water from the bay window in the main bedroom. It's within easy walking distance of several restaurants and museums, and for those not minding a slightly further walk, the waterfront district is close by as well.
Lisa was easy to contact when needed, and responded very quickly whenever we reached out. The beds and pillows were extremely comfortable, and the towels were probably the softest we've ever used! We had a restful stay, and would certainly stay here again if in the area, and recommend it to anyone that would enjoy staying in a historic neighborhood.

H Nadine. Thank you so much for your very kind review. I don’t know why vrbo put only 4 stars on your cleanliness. I marked 5!!! You guys were wonderful guests.
We had a really lovely time in the apartment! It is truly gorgeous inside, and the whole neighborhood is extremely charming. Food and entertainment was walkable. Lisa was not just responsive, but preemptive with information the day of our arrival. If we find ourselves back in Norfolk, this is where we'll stay!
This is our favorite place to stay when we visit Norfolk, VA. We love old houses with character, and this fits the bill. It's in the historical section of town near things to do.
