We stayed in this wonderful home for a long weekend with 2 other couples, celebrating the birthday of one. This home is exactly as presented and more spacious than the pictures present. We all had our own “floor” so it allowed for incredible privacy. Home is appointed nicely. Kitchen well stocked and we literally lacked nothing. Comfortable furnishings and certainly comfy beds. The grounds were beautiful and we loved walking around. Our Host was great. Best Weekend Ever!
Many things need to be fixed around the house. Mostly basic maintenance that can be easily fixed with regular care.
The air conditioner didn't bring the temp down. Heat worked fine but when it came time to cool it wouldn't.
The basement slider lock is broken so you have to use a piece of wood to block it for locking.
The hot tub wouldn't work correctly. We couldn't get the jets to turn on as the buttons didn't want to do anything.
The upper-level bathroom drain had to be unclogged and disgusting having to clean the shower drain at a VRBO.
The kitchen trash drawer needs to be replaced as it's falling apart.
The gas grill had to be taken apart and cleaned to get it to light.
The refrigerator was having problems with the water dispenser. It only worked part of the time.
Each bathroom was not supplied with more than one roll of toilet paper.
There were a lot of little things to take care of and this didn't ruin our stay but this place was not ready for guests. Ownership should spend a solid day at the property addressing these issues.
The house itself and its location are great. Deer wandering the backyard was cool and a nice little propane fire on the deck in the evenings was nice too.
We did have some noise issues with the guys next door with their drunken screaming at 4 a.m. our last night. This wasn't cool but that has nothing to do with ownership..
Overall, I would recommend this place once the maintenance is completed.
