About this property

Adorable Waterfront Cottage

You will enjoy phenomenal sunsets, literally at the water's edge when the high Bass Harbor tide laps at the shore beneath your newly refurbished (and spectacular) deck. Gentle waves will lull you to sleep as if on a boat. This quaint 'camp' has everything, at close quarters, overlooking the working Maine lobster community at the scenic southwest corner of Mount Desert Island. MDI is of course home to Acadia National Park where trails, hikes, kayaking, mountains and more abound, and the Island Explorer bus goes right past your front door, easing access to all Acadia has to offer.

Comfy, cozy Adorable Cottage offers a combo living/dining room, two bedrooms with double beds, 3/4 bath (w/ shower, no tub), fully equipped kitchen, clean towels & linens, plus a 'bonus' bed in the attic (served by an interior ladder) for an adventuresome tween or teen (no toddlers!). Plus:

- Free on-site parking
- Gas grill on the new deck
- Expansive back yard
- Beachfront seating with Solo stove
- Restaurants, Museums, Library and Scenic Tours in town and nearby
- Several indoor +/or outdoor Fresh Lobster sites
- Bass Harbor Head Lighthouse 1.7 mi
- Ship Harbor walking/hiking trail 1.8 mi
- Wonderland Trail 2.1 mi
- National Park Canoe & Kayak Rental 11.2 mi (17 min)
- ANP Hulls Cove Visitor Center 16.4 mi (29 min)Guest accessThe whole darling cottage + deck are yours.

The back yard and beach may be shared with guests (or us) in the (larger) house up the hill from the cottage, but the cottage and deck are nicely private for your stay.

That said, we are available by phone, if not in person, 24/7, and are ready to help you solve any question or issue that might arise.

Other things to noteCottage is available Friday to Friday; this is our strong preference due to cleaning & restaging professionals' availability

Anniversary Stay

This little cottage was perfect for our anniversary trip to Acadia!! It was right on the water and we watched the tide come in and go out. Our first night we made dinner and watched the sunset. It was GORGEOUS!! Ned was such a great host! We asked for recommendations and went with his. It did not disappoint!! The location wasn't too far from Acadia and close to the light house. It was an amazing stay and highly recommend!!
