About this property
Nashville elegance enjoy southern comfort in style
Step into a newly renovated, classic 1960s split-level in Nashville’s safe, serene, family-friendly, and convenient Hillwood neighborhood. A beautifully furnished 3 bedroom, 2.5 bathroom house with a brand-new fully-outfitted kitchen, updated bathroom fixtures, all-new mattresses and plentiful pillows, and four new TVs (including streaming 42” Roku’s in two of the bedrooms), you will enjoy modern amenities in traditional comfort.
The space
The location of the house provides a perfect, peaceful point of departure for enjoying the sights and sounds of America’s great Music City. The house sits on a big 1-acre lot shaded by tall cedars and hickories, with a charming purpose-built children’s playhouse, a basketball hoop, and other games for the yard. You’re a short drive to coffee (Starbucks), shopping (Target, Best Buy, Walmart, Lowe’s, Walgreen’s, Parnassus Books, Nordstrom’s, upscale GreenHills Mall), groceries (Kroger, Publix, Whole Foods, Trader Joe’s), restaurants (Red Robin, Buffalo Wild Wings, Jim ‘n Nick’s Barbeque, Chick-fil-A, Taco Bell, Cracker Barrel, Sportsman’s Grill, Sonobana Sushi). You’re 10 minutes from the Parthenon, Vanderbilt, Belle Meade Mansion, Warner Parks, Bluebird Café, Pancake Pantry, Cheekwood, and public golf courses. You’re a world away, but just 20 minutes from the Gulch, Ryman Auditorium, and the excitement and people-watching of Lower Broadway! The Titans and Nissan Stadium are just across the river from downtown, and Opryland, as well as Andrew Jackson’s Hermitage, are about a half-hour drive.
After a day of exploring the local attractions, retreat to the privacy of your big screened-in porch with a large picnic table, lounge swing, and restored retro wicker chairs, and, out on the patio, a brand new high-end Weber gas grill. This delightful outdoor living space is perfect for morning coffees or enjoying an evening cocktail while gazing at our beautiful West Nashville sunsets.
We love our dog and yours is welcome too!
Other things to note
• One bedroom has a king-sized bed, one a queen, and one a queen with an additional
trundle bed with a pullout that will sleep 2 kids. Normal occupancy is up to 8 persons,
though one or two more kids could be added and sleep on the futons that are on hand.
• The kitchen has a new range, new refrigerator (Fisher & Paykel) with icemaker, new
dishwasher, new counters and cabinets, new oversized sink, food disposer, coffeemaker,
blender, microwave, and big TV.
• The bathrooms are equipped with new sinks and fixtures and new elongated toilets.
• For in-house entertainment, there is a closet full of board games, an electric keyboard, and
a guitar.
• The classic wood-paneled den has a new comfy sofa and lounge chairs for family fun and TV
watching. The beautifully furnished living room, with a large genuine Turkish carpet, is
great for reading and relaxation. The separate dining room with an antique oak table can serve
as a quiet space for your remote work.
• The premises include a genuine 60s-era fallout shelter! Built into the hillside under the
driveway soon after the Cuban Missile Crisis, it’s now a retro curiosity but is still outfitted
– and would be there for a tornado!
• There is ample parking in the driveway.
• Meals can be taken around the big kitchen table, more formally in the dining room, or out
at the picnic table on the screened-in porch.
• The WiFi is fast and secure. The kitchen and den TVs are on cable, while two of the
bedrooms have streaming TVs. There’s a Bose speaker in the kitchen to Bluetooth your
music.
• There is a Grabo Pack ‘n Play and a high chair for the wee ones.
• It’s a no-smoking house inside; smoking is OK on the porch and outside.
• Pets are welcome for a standard upcharge.
