We stayed for three nights and it was wonderful. The home was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. It was very close to the downtown and the train station. The manager greeted us when we arrived and was great to communicate with before and during our stay. I would absolutely stay here again.
Adorable, spotless property!!! Unfortunately, we weren’t able to stay overnight due to a flight delay forcing us to stay in Anchorage. We did get use the place the next morning for showers only, which was convenient and appreciated. Although the host was very understanding about our situation, a special discount for a future stay would’ve made the experience even better!
This place is fantastic. There's plenty of space for everyone in the house and a large patio outside with amenities, including a hot tub. We were hosting a retreat for college students and they were super happy. The hosts are helpful and communicative. I've already recommended it to friends.
As Anchorage locals we were looking for a place for a weekend getaway to Talkeetna with outdoor space and a hot tub. This property was perfect for our group and met all of our needs. The hosts responded to all of our messages in a timely manner, the house was clean, and the outdoor space and hot tub was amazing! Great location to drive or walk to downtown, and despite sharing an outdoor space with other houses, it was quiet and very homey. We will most definitely come stay here again next time we want a little weekend get away.
This property was perfect for our time in Talkeetna. It was close to town, so the adults were able to saunter back home after hanging out at the Fairview Inn. We had to contact the host because the door wouldn’t lock; he was over in less than 10 minutes to repair the door (at 9pm!). The hot tub was lovely after a cold rainy afternoon on the Susitna river. The fire pit was awesome, I felt very safe with my 5 year old grilling marshmallows (attended of course!).
The town itself was also charming and amazing. Would definitely recommend, and would stay here again.
The property was very new and clean, the common areas were great. Really no compliant beyond that despite being new the Sourdough house creaked a lot when walking around upstairs and down the stairs. Made the first floor bedroom noisy at night.
New property, immaculate. Space is tight for 6 adults including 2 old folks. Main floor bedroom is short of space with a double bed. Would suit a single bed for adult/child. Kitchen well equipped with new appliances; everything works. Owners were about and helpful. Talkeetna is charming. Great restaurant, Homestead Kitchen. Food great, staff wonderful. Wished we had had more time and less rain.
