Wonderful experience! Property was very clean and comfortable. Great location that is close to downtown Lake Placid. I greatly enjoyed my experience and I will definitely stay here again. Thank you!
The apartment was great -- quiet, cozy with all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. We would book it again for a return trip to Lake Placid area, if available.
The apt is perfect for 2 people. Very clean. A bit of a walk to downtown, but we’re walkers so not a problem. There was no washing machine as described on VRBO when reserved. The kitchen had everything except wine & champagne glasses. Last thing, in December night comes early, more light needed outside.
Very comfortable apartment in great location near bike trail and walks to restaurants. The only hiccup was : check in instructions were obsolete and we spent time looking for keys in the wrong place
My husband and I stayed at the Little Pinecone for IMLP. The location and space were great. Downtown/Olympic Oval were walking distance but the neighborhood was so peaceful and quiet. The new rail trail was right by the property as are many great restaurants. The space was perfect for the two of us and we really enjoyed sitting on the balcony. Would definitely recommend
It was perfect for our anniversary trip to Lake Placid. The place was warm, cozy and just right. We enjoyed the place and it was a good spot to travel the surrounding areas.
A beautiful apartment with great access to Main St. & plenty of food & drink spots. Apartment was cozy & had everything we needed for a weekend getaway!!
This property was clean, comfortable and perfectly met our needs. We were visiting the Adirondacks to hike the high peaks, and this property was in a great location - one mile walk to Main Street and a short drive to the Adirondack Loj trailhead. We would definitely stay here again.
Was so impressed with this stay, the property had everything you need to feel right at home, all the cooking supplies to cook if you wanted to, towels well stocked, toiletries, it had it all. On top of that all the blankets and multiple tv's to stay in for a little rest and Netflix. The location was even better, walking distance to town and close drive in if you were feeling tired, walking distance from trails if you wanted to do a morning hike. The host was nothing but helpful and welcoming which really made this one of the best stays I have had at a Vrbo.
My significant other and I were attending Ironman Lake Placid and selected to stay at this location due to the close proximity to the start as well as on the bike/run course. Not only was it extremely accessible, the owners had everything you would need to feel as if you were at home! We will definitely be back for training weekends as well as extended stays for Ironman week again in the future. Owners are communicative and very accommodating, much appreciated!!
This place is a gem. It is completely separate from the house and very private. There is lots of light and is was extremely comfortable.
The extra touches did not go unnoticed. Granite countertops, fluffy towels, large garbage bins, full size fridge, comfortable bed, hardwood floors, nice porch for morning coffee or after hike drink, well appointed kitchen, comfy couch, easy check in just to name a few. It was my husband and I for two nights and we would stay here again on our next hiking trip! You are 15 mins to the Loj and 25 mins to Keene. You are two mins to Main Street!
VRBO apparently misrepresented this and other listings
Don’t trust the VRBO listing of amenities to be correct as VRBO has an apparent reoccurring error in their listing website with regard to hot tubs and spa whirlpools. VRBO BLAMED THE HOSTS who were unaware of the incorrect amenity listings.
This listing at times included both a Hot Tub and a Spa Whirlpool. I contacted the host who informed me that the listing did not have a spa whirl pool. After this inquiry with the host and noting similar listing errors of these amenities, I cancelled my reservation and notified VRBO of these listing errors in this and other VRBO listings. I pointed out that it was most likely a FAULT BY VRBO SINCE SIMILAR ERRORS OCCURRED IN OTHER LISTINGS. VRBO promised in a email to me to check this out and get back to me, but never did.
I eventually stayed in another listing with the same false amenities listing of having a hot tub and spa whirlpool after conversing with that host and deciding to go ahead anyway.
This was truly a cozy apartment. It was conveniently located to Main Street (a quick drive) and the plaza with a Hannaford supermarket. We appreciated how well the apartment held heat (especially for those cold nights). A few other Pros: The bedding was incredibly comfortable, lots of plush towels/washcloths, plenty of drawers if you wanted to unpack, and we really appreciated the stamped toilet paper (nice touch 😉). The apartment came with solid appliances and the welcome manual was very detailed (including manuals for appliances). There were an assortment of seasonings, very sharp knives (rare finds in rentals), and great cooking utensils. We also appreciated the assortment of board games.
While there are many pros, we do have some feedback. Unfortunately, the Bose soundbar didn’t work for us (genuine shame). We also encountered a few dirty dishes in the cupboard (a lip stick stained glass and dried food bits on a pan). It was an easy clean and didn’t completely deter from the experience. In the kitchen, it would be helpful to have hooks/handles on the drawers in the kitchen (especially the lower right hand accordion cabinet when facing the sink) as they were hard to grip at times. Our last bit of feedback; though we appreciated the coat rack in the bedroom and coat hooks in the front door closet, a closet with a pole or a garment rack to use hangers would've been nice.
Overall, this was an excellent stay and we look forward to coming back. Thanks for having us!
