Welcome to Golden Ridge Getaway!

High on top of Appalachian Ski Mountain, Golden Ridge Getaway is in the center of everything the High Country offers year-round. Appalachian Ski Mountain is a six-minute drive to the family-friendly ski lodge, ski slopes, and an ice skating rink. Tweetsie Railroad, Mystery Hill, and High Gravity Adventures are within five miles of the home. Downtown Blowing Rock is less than ten minutes away, offering local shopping and dining and a beautiful park with public tennis and basketball courts. Hop on The Blue Ridge Parkway, two miles away, and take in the long-range mountain views at one of the overlooks, or hike on one of the many hiking trails. Boone is about twenty minutes away and home to restaurants, shopping, and outdoor activities, including parks and the Boone Golf Course.

Golden Ridge Getaway is a two-level home with a spacious main floor and warm, inviting wood walls. Comfortable leather furniture around the fireplace and HDTV create a cozy, relaxing space. After a day on the slopes, build a fire and warm up with a mug of hot chocolate. The expansive back deck, located off the living room, offers outdoor dining, a gas grill, and spectacular mountain views. The dining area provides seating for six guests and is open to the fully stocked kitchen. Several games are provided at the house to enjoy at the game table. The lower deck is covered and houses a hot tub to unwind in after a day of hiking or shopping. The swing is the perfect place to enjoy your morning coffee while taking in the views of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

This four-bedroom three, three-bathroom cottage can accommodate up to eight guests. The main floor features the master bedroom with exposed beams and vaulted tongue-and-groove ceilings. The private ensuite has double vanities, a makeup counter, and a soaker tub. Guests are treated to deck access off the master bedroom with a sitting area to enjoy. The lower level houses three additional bedrooms that share a full-hall bathroom. Two bedrooms have queen-sized beds, both with TVs, while the third has a twin bed with a twin trundle and a full-size crib.

Additional amenities include WiFi, central heating and air conditioning, and a washer and dryer. Please be advised that an exterior security camera is in place. The paved driveway has parking for four vehicles. AWD or 4WD, plus tire chains, are highly recommended for winter travelers.

This is a very nice property at the top of mountain with great views. We enjoyed it very much and it was easy to get to Boone, NC and Blowing Rock and surrounding attractions.

Amazing view and family friendly property

Great house for young families

Boone to Panama

My husband, sister, and i spent our final days in Boone before departing to Panama. The cabin was a very clean and secluded place for us to rest before our travels. The views were absolutely breathtaking and the beds very comfortable. We could not ask for a better place to stay.

Great Weekend

Overall the place was perfect. We however had some concerns that were never taken care of and also not addressed. First, we had to call for the code to get into the house after check in time, second, no light down below and one of our guest fell on the step the couldn't see. Next the fire alarm in the master bedroom went off many times and we messaged about it but never got any help. We finally figured out, 7 women, how to reset the alarm so it would stop. We had to call about getting the garbage emptied because it was so full we had no more room after 1 day. Finally I asked about check out directions but never got any. I was really disappointed with the communication.
