Kama'ole One (oh-nee) means from "the Mountain to the sand"

Discover the beauty of Kihei from this delightful beachfront 2-bedroom, 2-bath condo. Located on one of Maui’s finest beaches, Charley Young Beach. This wonderful property offers aloha spirit for all guests.

We are part of a secluded and quite 12-unit condominium complex in South Kihei. Enjoy year-round sunsets from the lanai and spend your days relaxing on the beach with cool drinks and sand between your toes.

The newly updated kitchen design features beautiful island designed cabinetry, stainless steel appliances, dishwasher, trash compactor and draws full of cooking utensils and supplies.

Full size washer and dryer, beach towels, chairs, umbrella and much more to enjoy your time on the island.

The primary bedroom features a comfortable cal-king bed, a view of the ocean and ensuite bathroom and a large closet. Imagine having your morning coffee in bed with a view of the beach and listening to the waves crashing.

The second bedroom has 2 twin beds (can be made into a king bed for an extra fee). The main bath features a full shower, towels, hair dryer & soap.

We are a short 25-minute drive from Kahului Airport. Kamaole One is a non-smoking property- this includes inside and outside of the unit.

Whether you're exploring the nearby beaches or enjoying the local cuisine, we think our place will help you experience everything Maui has to offer.

A fantastic condo on the beach!!! The property is incredible and the condo perfectly stocked. Plenty of space for our family of 4 with 2 teens. The only time we contacted Tina was to ask for a later check out. Of course, she accommodated us. If you love the ocean and beach and being away from the crowds, this is your spot. We look forward to returning.

Great beach access!

Loved our stay here in Maui! The proximity to Charley Young and Kam 1 beach was the best part. We could just walk out and be right on the beach. With our 2.5 year old daughter it was epic! The loft style 2nd primary bedroom worked well for our family of 3. Kitchen was well stocked and we cooked a few nights and made Mai Tais.

Beach getaway

This location is amazing in Kihei. Super close to the beach, all the beach gear you need. Area is nice and quiet at night so we were able to get great sleep and wake up to the sound of the ocean. ABC store is close by and lots of restaurants a short walk/drive away. I would recommend this place to anyone and would come back again!

Been to Maui many times and by far the best location and beach access. Just steps away from one of the best family beaches we have seen. The condo is much better equipped than any place we stayed in the past. BBQ on the lanai and such a view. This is not a new place but has been tastefully updated and was just the getaway we needed! Hope to get back here again soon.

The location can’t be beat. Beach and sunsets were spectacular. Communication with the property owner was excellent. The unit was clean, tastefully decorated and the kitchen was well stocked with anything you would need. We will definitely recommend this place to anyone we know visiting Maui.

Great Family Vacation Location

We had a wonderful trip. We have stayed at Kamaole One in a different unit in the past, and just love it here! This unit was tight for us as 4 adults, but it doesn't matter when you spend the day on the beach which is just out the door! We love the access to great local restaurants (Maui Taco and Coconuts being favorites) - and don't miss out on the Deli in the ABC store too! We hope to come back again! Thank you!

Dream location

We have stayed in this building several times. This is by far the best unit we’ve stayed in. It’s clearly been lovingly cared for. This should inspire guests to take care of it as well. As others have noted, this unit is supplied with many things that other rentals do not have which come in very handy. The location is the best on Maui. We didn’t want to leave. The owners were extremely helpful, responding quickly to our questions.

Best Pre-Christmas Trip EVER!

This is an amazing property! The beachfront setting cannot be beat, complete with an outdoor shower, snorkeling a few steps away, and whales galore! While the square footage is fairly small, the layout is perfect for our family of 4, and the condo is ideally stocked- it is easy to tell that this is a family place, but arranged to make any guest feel like the space is their own. There were plenty of unexpected touches as well, and the power sunshades were amazing...AC in the bedrooms a huge bonus! The city of Kihei is super central to all the fun things, and there is great food a walk or short drive from your door. Kihei is a good mix of locals and tourists, so if you are looking for a strictly resort feel- which we weren't- head further south or further north. We'll be back ASAP!

Location, location, location

This condo is in such a great location. It is on Charley Young beach. No roads to cross, just walk straight out to the beach, or sit on the lanai to see the water (and the whales) and hear the surf. The South Kihei location is also great for amenaties. Kihei Caffe is across the street, Dolphin's Mall is a block away with it's gelato. A grocery Store and the the restaurants of South Kihei are just north of the condo. It also has great access to the other parts of the island with easy access to the Piilani Highway. The condo was very comfortable for the 3 of us. Well stocked with all our needs from coffee cups to boogie boards. Communication with Tina was quick and easy via text. We had a great week here, would recommend it and hopefully we will stay here again.

Best Condo on Maui

We have stayed multiple places on Maui and in Kihei and this one takes the cake. The first thing we noticed (besides the breathtaking views) is that it was more stocked than any rental we've ever stayed at anywhere in the world. Maybe it was good timing from the previous renters, but there was plenty of sunscreen, condiments, and even some beer. There were so many beach supplies too (chairs, umbrella, snorkels, fins, toys, etc.). The AC worked better than other Hawaii rentals we've stayed at, and the electronic shades gave privacy with still being able to view the ocean. The kitchen is modern with a dishwasher, trash compactor, and a huge fridge. Sharon was communicative, check-in/out was a breeze, parking was easy, and the beach is so close. Highly recommend!

Great time at Kamaole One!

My family had a great time staying at Kamaole One! It was the perfect location, very centralized on the island in Kihei. The downstairs bedroom and bathroom were perfect for my teenage daughter and her friend. The bathroom upstairs was a little tight, but my husband and I made due. Also, changing clothes was sometimes a challenge - forgetting to close the top blinds! I think we only used the beach out front a 2-3 times, but we loved sitting on the lanai drinking our coffee and playing games with the view. The condo had what we needed for the week, except the snorkel gear probably needs to be replaced. We couldn't find a complete set for an adult. But, renting for about $10/day down the block was not a problem. The only hiccup we had was connecting to the internet, but Sharon was very responsive and got us all set up in no time. Would consider staying here again when we go back to Maui.

Perfect Location Worth The Price

I stayed here for a week with my 18 year old and this was truly the perfect location. We landed, hit Costco, drove to the condo, and immediately went to the beach. We saw turtles swimming! We rented snorkeling gear, and bought food, shampoo, conditioner, and sunscreen, but the condo had everything else we needed: beach chairs, umbrella, beach towels, backpack cooler, beach bag. It was really warm inside when we arrived, even with the fans on, but when we turned on the AC unit upstairs it cooled the main floor living room also. My daughter shared the upstairs bed with me because it was so cool to lie in bed and watch the gentle ocean each morning. The location was perfect for exploring the entire island. While we visited a number of beaches, the one right out back was our favorite. We could decide last minute if we wanted another dip in the water, and we watched the sunset from the balcony. While we snorkeled at a number of places, including Molokini, our best snorkeling was the morning we left. We went right out back to the rocky area at about 7:30a. There were about 8 people already snorkeling and we found quite a few turtles. They were resting on the bottom, but they'd come up every once and awhile too. It was amazing! We stayed out until 8:30a, came back in to shower and pack, and were at the airport by 10a. Perfect! The owner was communicative and the pest control people came one morning, but she texted us that they were coming so we weren't surprised. Great Vacation!!!

Ideal Property

I brought my daughter and 7 year old granddaughter to Maui and searched endlessly for the right property. We forfeited a pool to be able to stay right on the beach and so glad we did! What a beautiful beach Charley Young beach is - very serene and literally steps away. I had my coffee on the lanai each morning at 5:30 and listened to the waves crashing and all the birds. So tranquil! I chose this condo also because I didn't want to be in a large property with too many people - this was more intimate and private. There was every beach toy we could have wanted: boogie boards, snorkels, flippers, umbrellas, towels, beach chairs - so much! The kitchen was completely equipped with everything we could have needed. As is the case with most vrbo's we left paper towels, laundry soap, condiments, etc, as did others who had rented the space. It was a challenge to keep the sand out but we sure worked hard at it. It's a beach house so we couldn't completely succeed. The location was perfect - accessible to groceries, restaurants, other fabulous beaches. We had a car so drove to other areas of the island but really had all we needed on S.Keihi if we needed to stay put. My only suggestion is perhaps a new coffee pot - I couldn't get a good cup of coffee - even with bottled water. I never had to contact the owner once we arrived - all went so smoothly - from directions from airport to accessing the key and combo lock. If I return to Maui, I hope to stay here again. Fabulous!

Our family have been coming to Maui for over 40yrs and we still love this slice of heaven. Our family has owned this unit since 1995, and now the second generation has taken over ownership and management. This is an amazing place to recharge and decompress from daily life.

Why they chose this property

The entire island of Maui is wonderful, but we particularly love Kihei because the weather is nearly perfectly 80 degrees year around, and only 10 inches a rain per year.

What makes this property unique

The boutique size complex allows for serenity and decompression from your everyday life. We also love that with in steps you are on the beach. Local restaurants and shopping are all within walking distance.
