This property is beautiful and everything we were looking for to get away for the weekend. The home is cozy and secluded and served as a perfect base camp to complete the Decalibron loop. We were greeted by a moose walking right up to our car as we arrived - A truly magical experience.
We enjoyed our stay at this cozy cabin. It is very quiet and secluded. We so appreciated being able to bring our dog. It was nice to have a king sized bed.
This was the idyllic place to spend a long weekend to unwind. It was in the middle of everything we enjoyed doing but felt so far away from anyone else. The property was perfect and the hostess was a dream. I cannot wait to come back.
This cabin was heaven on earth! Beautiful views, quiet & peaceful- just what we needed!Hosts were wonderdul & the cabin was very well appointed. (Washer & dryer!) Would definitely book this mountain getaway again!
Cute cabin that was drivable to both FairPlay and Breckenridge. Host communicated well, house was clean and instructions were short and simple. 10/10 would return!
The cabin was a few miles off the main road with the directions accurate and easy to access. The kitchen was well equipped and clean. Beds comfortable with plenty of linens. Appreciated the host who was available for questions and wanted us to enjoy our stay. Recommend this property.
This was a great place to stay. But don’t try to bring up your side-by-side on trailers or in toy haulers because that’s almost impossible to find a parking space or get them there on the hill that this house is on.I asked if there had been room, the owner said there was plenty of room. Luckily, last minute we did not bring them cause when we got there, There would’ve been no place to put them. Property is stacked with trees, which is beautiful, but leaves no place for side-by-side or toy hauler trailers. Having to conserve on the water because of the lack of rain and snow previous season made water source very low. The four of us had a great time, the place was beautiful, the trees and surrounding is great. We even saw a moose and her baby about a mile from the house.
My wife and I spent the entire month of July at Dondi's property and we were very happy with our stay. The cabin is in a great location less than 15 minutes to Fairplay, and about 30 minutes to Breckenridge, but also extremely secluded with no visible neighbors from the property. Upstairs open floorplan is great with floor to ceiling windows on both the south and north sides that let lots of natural light in and give the impression of being in a treehouse. Downstairs bedrooms are a nice size, beds and bedding are very comfortable and it stays very cool ensuring a comfortable night sleep at the end of the day. Cabin was immaculately clean upon our arrival. Internet is good for streaming TV video and browsing but there is some lag (1 second) on audio calls and doesn't work well for video conferencing which is understandable with satellite internet. Lot's of USFS hiking trails in the area within a 30 minute drive. We would definitely stay again for any trip back to the Fairplay area!
If you're wanting to escape to some solitutde, this is your stay. It's about 10 minute drive up a dirt and rock road. No problem with wifi. Plenty of pots and pans if you want to cook, no pantry items so bring your own. Comfortable master bedroom mattress, we didn't use to queen bed. Visit South Park City, very cool museum.
Evidence of great cleaning. Not a whole lot of cookware but enough to get by. Host gave decent information for checking in and checking out but doesn’t respond to questions. Extremely private and gorgeous scenery. WiFi is a bit iffy but it’s not a dead zone. Neither heater is adjustable and one doesn’t work(not much of an issue in the summer). A couple maintenance issues but nothing that really affected the stay. Some board games and books available, and a record player! Couch is cute but honestly not the most comfortable. The ice for the freezer doesn’t seem to be set up. Potential ghost?? lol, there will be an occasional knocking from the fridge and the creaking footsteps upstairs when in bedrooms. Alma is the closest town but would not recommend going there for anything: Very overpriced. FairPlay could seem far but it’s not really, and it has great options for food and groceries for good prices. Apply bug spray every time you go out, or the mosquitos and ticks will let you know that they are real if you don’t.
