About the host
Hosted by Al &Pegan Sherick
Having stayed at many a VRBO, we jumped at the opportunity to become 1st class hosts in our new hometown. Coming from the always humid Nashville area to this amazingly "NON humid" mountain town was a dream come true. Being so close to trails and amazing attractions like Pikes Peak makes everyday a "take my breath away" experience. We are very excited to provide a comfortable retreat for you to explore our fair city....or to visit your cadet. Just let us know if there is anything we can do to make your stay better. Pegan & Al
Why they chose this property
Every day we wake up and look to Pikes Peak to see if there is any new snow on his head. (except in Summer, of course) ;-D Feeling safe and comfortable when we walk our 4 legged child along the community trails is one of the best things about being in Gleneagle. Our neighbors being "wavers" and really friendly is the BEST thing about living here because we feel SAFE here. Add in that View... and, what more can you ask for? Flyovers, you say? YES... we enjoy the frequent sightings of F16s & F18s or the occasional C5 and of course, seeing the cadets training flights. We even get to watch the cadets sky dive, every so often. Graduation is extra special because we have the perfect perch for watching the Thunderbirds practice for the 3 days before graduation....in addition to the graduation show. WOWZA!
What makes this property unique
Falcons Rest was just an unfinished, open space in our basement in early April of this year. The journey to create a Guest Suite has been so fun. From watching the contractors skillfully build out the space to the fun we had curating the things to make this an inviting and comfortable place to share with our family and friends has been thrilling. From the beginning, we wanted to celebrate the AFA and the families who entrust their cadets to it. We wanted to be known as the VRBO with all king sized Tempur-pedic beds.... the most comfortable digs around. We hope that you will find it comfy and welcoming and that we will be your "home away from home" when you need to come back to COS.
