The house is in the historical Brook Farm neighborhood of West Roxbury, which is the safest and mostly single family neighborhood of Boston. This house especially has a great suburb feeling with excellent privacy.

Multiple zone baseboard heating and Mitsubishi mini split cooling/heating. Walkout base has baseboard heating and Mideau (very quite) window AC.

Front yard lawn and private drive way (space for two medium size cars). Free off-street parking.

Backyard with lush lawn and fence; three separate good sized decks of size about 12x12 feet, 12 x 8, and 12 x 20.

It is only ~0.5 mile / ~10 minutes walk to the West Roxbury station, where the Needham line train takes you to downtown Ruggles station/Northeastern University in just ~15 minutes/5 stops, Back Bay/Prudential Center in ~20 minutes/6 stops, and south station in ~24 minutes/7 stops.

There are also two bus stops in nearby street, just around the corners (But no bus passing the property street.)

Also easy driving into downtown Boston in 20 to 30 minutes, and especially scenic drive (along Jamaica pond and Jamaica way) to Longwood medical area.

We have been living in this house for about 5 years while our little daughter attended Boston Latin School. Now she's graduated and my wife and I have decided to move to country side and list this lovely house as short term rental.

Why they chose this property

We moved to Boston in 2017 for our kid's education. We started looking for single family house right away while staying in an apartment building. It took us a couple of years to finally settled down on this lovely house in January of 2019! It took us so long because we only look in a couple of sub neighborhoods within West Roxbury and we passed every house with bad privacy as typically seen in a city setting.

What makes this property unique

Most single family houses in West Roxbury of Boston are ages old, typically more than 100 years. This house was relatively new and was built around 1989. The inside layout is much well designed and more comfortable for modern day living. The backyard of the house has a much higher elevation than the next street so you have total privacy at the backyard with walkout basement, and we have total 3 decks, of sizes about 12X12, 12X8, and 12X20!
