A very special stay! The shack is rustic enough that we felt immersed in nature and Fall colors, especially the view waking up in the morning, but extremely cozy and comfortable. We had everything we needed, including linens, warm shower, fridge, and hot coffee. And an easy walk to delicious home cooked breakfast sandwiches. Highly recommend!

For city boy I was in Paradise the water was a little questionable. Lol but the rest was second to none alone finally.

Weekend Climbing Trip

We had a really lovely stay!! Charles is a great host and the property is beautiful. Highly recommend for anyone who doesn’t feel like camping but doesn't want to break the bank on a rental. The bed faces the glass sliding doors - perfect for firefly watching as you fall asleep. And the outdoor shower was a lovely bonus! Also there’s a great spot for (delicious) breakfast sandwiches and farm market goodies walking distance away! Only feedback is that the bed frame is kinda squeaky when you roll around which would sometimes stir me or my partner from our sleep.

Dangerous conditions

The “gravel path” is steep without weight sustaining rail - where any rails exist. Upon checking in I immediately informed the host that the cabin was not acceptable to me. Due to some mobility issues. At that I needed help getting luggage back to the automobile. Some hours later he said he just saw the message and asked if I still needed help. I answered I could not leave in the dark on that trail. To make a longer story short he blamed me for not informing him of any mobility issue. I expect a renter to inform the public of potential unsafe conditions. We did arrive at a compromise settlement But he has not followed through.Cleanliness? There were dead wasps on the floor when I arrived and one live one in the room.I rented another place on day twoI’ve tried to submit a claim to the travel insurance which I did purchase but have not found info on how to submit a claim

Future hosts- do not rent to this person . Failed to read or comprehend instructions, failed to mention ANY mobility issues (I would gladly shown a video in any of the many weeks leading to his arrival and cancelled if he wanted. Not a peep about a clearly important factor?!? ) But still he decided it wasn’t too dangerous to stay a night anyway. Failed to accept any personal responsibility about the communication . Then puffed on about lawyers…. Literally the first and only person to complain ever about this property. Pls read all the other views over the years for an accurate experience . Even with his misleading and responsibility dodging review, I still allowed a partial refund. Just do yourself a favor and don’t rent to him …
