Fantastic Stay

My cousins and I had a fantastic time at this gorgeous cabin. The location is convenient to Sylva, Cullowhee, and Dillsboro. All amenities and accommodations are just as listed. We enjoyed the fire pit and even made s’mores. The scenic view from every angle of the property was an extra bonus. This is an excellent home to simply get away.

Magical and cozy

We stayed at Sylvan Lea with both of our young kids for a Christmas getaway and it could not have been more perfect! The location was secluded and private yet very close to all the essentials needed for food and groceries. We enjoyed the small towns nearby for some last minute Christmas shopping and spent a few of the days just relaxing in the cozy cabin with a log in the fireplace. The worst part of our trip was leaving!

What a wonderful stay! the screened in porch is a total gem. Truly. Can’t beat it. We spent much of our stay enjoying the deck. The kitchen is labeled so you can find everything you need. Home is very clean and comfortable. High chair, pack and play, and baby gates made our stay with our 1 year old so easy. The hosts are very responsive - and if you need anything, they will take care of it. We even decided to stay an extra day because we weren’t ready to leave. And don’t forget to use the hot tub! Would absolutely stay again.

Cozy Thanksgiving Holiday with a view

The cabin was gorgeous….Beautifully decorated for the holidays with a Christmas tree and festive decor. The view of the mountain from the porch was stunning and the cabin was very clean and cozy. Comfy beds, stocked kitchen and thoughtful extras like detergent, shampoo, garbage bags etc. We enjoyed playing board games and lawn games and using the firepit for smores. Maria and Kevin were very communicative and responsive from booking questions all the way through checkout. 10/10 Thank you for a memorable Thanksgiving vacation!

Beautiful, peaceful mountain retreat!

Our stay at this beautiful, NC mountain home was absolutely fantastic! From the moment we arrived we were blown away by the mountain views and peaceful atmosphere. The home itself is immaculately maintained and offers all the comforts one can ask for. The kitchen is full equipped making it easy to prepare meals while the bedrooms are comfortable and tastefully decorated. One highlight was the screened-in porch where we enjoyed morning coffee and evenings drinking wine and watching the lightning bugs. The host was incredibly welcoming and responsive providing detailed instructions and local recommendations. They went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful experience. We highly recommend this mountain home to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway.

Birthday Getaway

This house is spectacular! 5 stars all the way around! The house is decorated so elegantly, from the flooring to the furnishings to the kitchen utensils and even the swing on the porch, everything is so intentional, thoughtful and classy. We slept so comfortably and woke up to an amazing view of the mountains every morning. It is exactly what we needed after stepping away from busy city life. The house is tucked away and surrounded by trees everywhere, yet the location is perfect, just minutes away from downtown Sylva. Thankfully we were there for perfect weather and the leaves in full fall bloom. So many pictures! The host were super responsive and most accommodating. We very much appreciate Kevin and Maria providing us the space to unwind, reconnect and take in the beauty that surrounds this cabin. North Carolina is so beautiful and the Great Smoky Mountains do not disappoint. We will definitely be returning to this fine abode!

Live music during the "Concert In The Park" series runs from Memorial Day through Labor Day every Friday night. Bring a blanket or a folding chair, some snacks, and bring the whole family! The cabin sits atop a knoll upon land that is gently sloping, making it safe for children to play and explore and easy to access. The large porch has been screened in to minimize bugs and increase child safety. Geared for families with children, we have child friendly dinnerware, outlet covers, baby gates, a high chair, a pac-n-play, books, and games. It's perfect for couples and families!

Recently renovated, this cabin is a luxury property complete with high end finishes, amenities, furniture, and completely equipped to be your "home away from home!" . Outdoor amenities include a large smokeless fire pit in the backyard, a twin-size porch daybed swing on the front porch, and a hammock in the garden, outdoor dining on the large screened in porch facing the mountains, and a BBQ gas grill. Inside you can cozy up by the fire and watch a good movie, or have a cup of coffee or tea and take in the peaceful mountains first thing in the morning or your favorite beverage as the sun goes down in the two large rockers. This cabin has been outfitted to be a way of helping guests unplug, destress, relax, and take in each moment with friends or family for truly a memorable time!
