Wonderful visit for a Fall weekend. Excellent communication prior to check in. Skaneateles is a great town - make sure to visit the downtown on your stay.

Beautiful and peaceful.

The cottage was exactly as described. Beautiful location and property owners/managers were exceptionally helpful and gracious. Would not only highly recommend but would plan to come back.

The house was perfect for us -- just the right size for two people with great views of the lake. The house set up was great --- great living room, kitchen, etc. A few comments:1) the dock should have a ladder so that one can easily get into the lake. The lake is too shallow to dive into from the end of the dock and the only way to get into the water is to walk in over a lot of sharp stones. 2)If someone is looking for a short drive into town to get a newspaper, latte, shop, etc., the house is a little bit of a hike from the village. 3) The TV in the house should have access to local channels. Neither my wife nor I remember our logins/passwords to our various streaming services. We ended up reading at night but it would have been nice to have access to a local Syracuse channel so that we can follow what is going on in the world.

John, Thank you for the review and thoughts on the ladder. This time of year the lake levels drop significantly partly due to mother nature and infrastructural systems. Not much we can do but offer you a return visit in the summer or spring when levels are high. The property is located about 7-8 miles from town, I am sorry you did not realize that prior to booking. I'll confirm this is detailed in the listing. We are happy to hear you enjoyed the house. Brian

Lovely Cottage on the Lake

What an enjoyable time my husband and I had at this cozy, adorable cottage on Skaneateles Lake. The location was fantastic, right on the lake and yet also nestled in the woods. The house was well appointed, clean, updated and comfortable. We plan to return. Highly recommend.

Pretty tough to beat!

A really nice house in a really nice area on Skaneateles Lake! The house has just been completely redone and everything is just about perfect. All new appliances and fixtures. All new floors...you get the picture. Very nicely furnished and decorated, comfortable furniture and beds. Extremely clean and tidy. Most everything you will need is there. The Lake is the star and you are right on it with a large deck overlooking it and a really nice dock right out in the water. The manager of the property is extremely professional and very attentive with each detail of your stay. As I said, this one would be hard to beat!
