This single-story, ground-level coastal retreat is located just a 2-minute walk to the Alabama beach access (complete with wheelchair-accessible beach access and bathrooms). Beautifully updated, the home boasts modern furnishings, stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, upgraded bathrooms, and a fully fenced yard for total privacy.

-Parking: Street parking is strictly prohibited. Driveway and front lawn parking accommodate up to 5–6 vehicles.

Property was as described. Very close to beach--4 or 5 houses away. Outdoor shower and beach items were very handy (cart, umbrella, chairs, boogie boards). KItchen was reasonably well-stocked, plenty of seating in and out. Host responded to questions quickly.

love this spot!

We love staying at Life’s 2 Short and will be back every year! So quick onto the beach and the house is really nice. The kitchen and living room are situated perfectly for optimum togetherness and everything you need is already there.

The host was incredibly helpful and let us in early! We had such a great time and it was such a great place for our girls trip! Our only concern was the showers don’t have doors so the floors got pretty wet when we used them even with the bath mats put down. But it was a great experience and we’d definitely come back!

Family Enjoyment

My family of 8 adults and my 2 year old great grandson stayed here.This is an absolutely amazing place to stay at. It’s clean has all the amenities that you need inside and out just walk a block and go across the dunes and your on the beach. Shops and restaurants are all near by within 10 to 15 minutes or less so everything is very convenient. We had a Wonderful wonderful time we will be coming back

Perfect place to stay!!!

We are all hard working ladies over the age of 50! This house is perfect for a group of ladies with limited physical abilities. NO STAIRS. A GREAT BACKYARD AND COVERED PATIO JUST FOR CHILIN’ AND, AND STEPS FROM THE BEACH-not too close not too far away!!! We will return to this place again!!!

Great one story home perfect for 8, esp with 2 sides of home great for 2 families! Wonderful quieter end of Carolina Beach an SO grateful for beach parking. Truly just 3 homes away from walkway, bathrooms, water and beach FUN! Just needs a few more bigger cooking pots and mayb water bottles.

Super cute, super clean & spacious right next to beach

I am a germophobe who normally re-cleans when I get to the beach but this place was SPOTLESS. Also don’t be fooled by it being a 1-story, our group of one million ladies could all sit in the living room and kitchen comfortably. The layout is really great and the bathrooms and kitchen are nicer than mine at home. We had everything we needed – used the chairs, beach games, and cooked and never ran across anything we needed. I usually expect fruit flies at the beach but didn’t see a single one. Loved the mix of modern and vintage furniture. It’s hard to tell from the map but it’s literally no problem to go back & forth from the beach for a forgotten drink or more cheeze balls (aka beach carrots). This is our new favorite and we will be back as soon as possible!!! Found 5 shark teeth and slept great even though I’m 39. Could not be more jealous of the owners. Also they were so great to work with.

Loved our stay. Very short and easy walk to the beach. Really enjoyed the accessibility of the single story cottage. (I did wish one of the showers had a hand rail, though). Overall a very positive experience.

The location of this property is perfect. Two minute easy walk to beach access. You are right on the border of Carolina and Kure Beach, with great access to all of the island's amenities

What makes this property unique

We fully renovated this 1950's beach cottage. We love that it is all on one level with no stairs to drag all your luggage up. Easy access for both young and old.
