This well appointed carriage house unit features a 55" flat screen TV with streaming apps, high speed Wi-Fi, full kitchen with dishwasher, Keurig with complimentary coffee, tea, and and hot chocolate, dining area, premium bedding, and all the essentials for a comfortable stay. Living room includes a pull-out queen sofa bed with comfortable memory foam mattress. Stocked with board games and puzzles. Located behind the main home, the upstairs carriage house apartment has contact-free, keyless access. Wake up to beautiful views of church steeples before exploring the historic district with wonderful restaurants, craft breweries, and antique dealers, or venturing out to nearby beaches and wineries (stocked with beach towels and chairs). Everything was perfect. Second time we were here and it was just at good as the first time if not better. Clean room, brought our dog and was like he was at home. Restaurants, shops, and bars are all in walking distance. The room was meticulously clean and all the amenities you can think of. I travel a lot for work and this room is much better than any hotel and by far the best VRBO I have stayed at.

Great Hideaway

We had a great 4-night stay at Butterfly Hideaway. The neighborhood is very quiet but close to restaurants, stores, the riverfront and historical sites. We found this place perfect for us and our little dog. Would stay again if we’re in Wilmington again.

My husband and I loved staying here! The place is immaculate and lovely. We’ve never stayed at a VRBO that was so thoughtfully appointed and configured as a guest house for both humans and dogs. The neighborhood is lovely, great for walking, and so close to the Boardwalk area. Thanks to Bobby and Wayne!

Amazing gem a stones throw away from the Historic District

Had a wonderful four-nite time stay at the carriage house run by Wayne and Bobby. They thought of every little detail to make our stay worry free. The kitchen was fully equipped, the beds extremely comfortable, and there were even toiletries in case we forgot something as well as bones and doggie bags for our pups.

Great place, location and host!

Our children stayed here with their 2 dogs over Thanksgiving break while we celebrated with family in the area. The carriage house was immaculate, cozy, well stocked and in a great walking distance to downtown and the riverfront area. The host was very gracious to allow earlier check-in and the opportunity to stay a little longer past check out if needed be. I would definitely recommend this property!

We had a fantastic experience at this property! From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by how clean, well-maintained, and beautifully decorated everything was. The location was perfect – close to local attractions but still quiet and peaceful. We also appreciated the little touches, like extra towels, toiletries, and the variety of board games for a night in. Perfect weekend getaway!

Located on a quiet street in the historic district, the Carriage house is a short walk to the boardwalk and restaurants. The house was very clean and perfect for a couples get-a-way. Beaches, Fort Fisher and other attractions are a short drive. We would definitely stay here again.

Great place a for a weekend trip with a partner

My girlfriend and I (and our beagle!) had a great time staying her over Labor Day weekend. The rooms were clean and comfortable and it’s just a short drive from downtown and the beach. Hosts were very responsive and friendly. Overall, we had a great stay here!

The property was exactly as advertised. House was beautiful. Layout was perfect for my wife and I. Wayne, Bobby and Chase were very neci. . If we ever need to stay downtown Wilmington again we would stay here again

History around every corner coupled with great restaurants, museums, historic homes, the Riverwalk, theaters, and concerns at Live Oak Pavilion - all within walking distance!
