The Plum Bush House was a wonderful place for my family and I to get together! The house was very clean and very well stocked with everything that we needed. With 6 bedrooms and 6 1/2 bathrooms, it accommodated us all nicely! The large yard with trails, the fire pit and the pool were a huge hit!! We enjoyed our time so much, we have already book another weekend for next year!
We loved the charm and setting. This 1860s B & B was both quaint and practical for a large group. We loved cooking meals together, enjoying the pool and sun room, and having our own bedrooms w/ en suites. There are many unique features and quaint spaces to relax and enjoy time away. We highly recommend!!!
We have a family reunion every year and this one was one of the best ever. The house was wonderful, with everything we needed for large family meals. Everyone had a suite for great privacy. The most important thing for me, however, was the understanding and cooperation of our host, Elizabeth. Due to an inadvertent lack of full transparency on my part, we had a misunderstanding when we arrived. Elizabeth called me and resolved it quickly and professionally. My wife and I have rented well over 50 VRBO homes over the years and she is the most gracious host ever. She made our stay special.
Eight family members (11 months to 84 years) drove in from several directions--Michigan, Vermont, and NYC. it rained a lot, but there were no complaints. We played, ate, napped, played, chatted, got caught up, and then did it all over again. The house was the perfect setting--lots of room, a beautiful setting, even a few wonderful toys for the kids. We each give it a thousand thumbs up.
We are a group of ten college friends who gather every two or three years to relax, catch up on retirement activities and relive our memories from the '60s. This year we chose Plum Bush, based on its central location to Illinois, New Jersey, Michigan,Virginia and Ohio and we could not have been happier with the perfect accommodations. Each couple was able to have their own private bed and bath but the common areas, especially the porch, were what we enjoyed most. The pictures accurately convey the charm and whimsical decor of this historical home and we were all impressed with the cleanliness and immaculate upkeep of the caretakers. We enjoyed the heated pool when the sun was out and gathered around the firepit when the sun went down. After three days, it was unanimously decided that the next stay needs to be longer!!!
