WOODSTOCK HEAVEN
2 week Rental from 8/12/17-8/26/17, will accept one week. This is in Woodstock, NY

Our house sits on 10 acres of land with a beautiful mountain view. It has a 65’ swimming pool with a separate 70' fully equipped pool house (i.e. large screened porch, fully equipped kitchen, eating area, bathroom, living room and bedroom and outdoor shower). The main house has 5 bedrooms, 3 1/2 baths, screened in porch, large deck, ping pong and pool table, t.v. room, large study, 2 sitting rooms, one with fireplace, elliptical trainer and recumbent bike in basement and 2 basketball nets.
You never have to leave the peacefulness of home. However, we are not far from the village of both Woodstock and Saugerites, only 5 miles away. You can see great art, theater, hear music and go to movies. Summer night life is fun. Biking and hiking right out the front door and nearby canoeing and kayaking.

If you have kids, there is a fabulous day camp just down the road. Our kids went there. We have built an outdoor playground with swings, slides, rock climbing wall and indoor play space.

The cost is $4000/per week or $7500 for 2 weeks. There is a $1000 security deposit which will be returned to you if nothing gets damaged and a cleaning fee of $275.00

Perfect location, spacious house, amazing pool!

Our multi-generational family of eight spent a fabulous and relaxing week at this house. It is perfectly situated between the inviting and very different towns of Woodstock and Saugerties. And it's hard to beat the inspiring view of the Catskills rising from the backyard! The kitchen has every amenity. The open kitchen-dining-living area is great for crowds of all sizes. The bedrooms are comfortable and provide plenty of privacy. And we all raved about the pool. We happily spent every evening there. Jane was very welcoming in advance of our visit, and a helpful neighbor checked in to make sure we had everything we needed. We highly recommend this spacious and comfortable house and pool. We loved it!!

Great family get away in beautiful spacious location with great pool!

My family spent a wonderful two weeks at this great home half way up a mountain near Woodstock. The size of our group varied throughout the stay, but at its peak we had 7 adults and 3 young children and still had plenty of room. The main house is spacious and has multiple areas for people to gather or for someone to get alone time, including many tranquil spots with inspiring views of the mountain. The property is large and there is plenty of space to play outside, including a nice artificial tree house/swing set for kids. The best part of the property is the huge pool, which is even larger than it looks in the pictures. It is the largest pool I have seen at a private residence and it is accompanied by a large pool house with a nice kitchen, bathroom, large dining/relaxing area, and a small room with a futon which is good for children to nap. We spent much of our time during the day relaxing down by the pool, including enjoying meals there. The property is situated in a nice location where the property (and in particular the pool and pool house) are very private, but only about 15 minutes from both Saugerties and Woodstock for groceries, restaurants, and other activities. There are also numerous outdoor activities and sites of interest within relatively short drive from the property. The house was clean and well maintained and had all of the basic things guests might need, such as towels, dishes, utensils, cookware, etc. both at the main house and at the pool house. I would enthusiastically recommend this home to anyone looking for a family get away.

A great vaca with our family,a perfect location!

A very nice place! We rented this home for a special family vacation which consisted of my wife and I, Son & Daughter, their spouses and two grandkids 4 & 6 years old! The house is spacious with a sunny deck and a great view of the mountain. The heated (fenced in) swimming pool and pool house was our favorite place to hang out since it had a full kitchen, screened in room, bathroom etc. The main house was clean, well maintained and plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms for all. There is a play/swing set for the kids which was fairly new. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants a nice quiet place that's very private and comfortable. We may rent it again in the future! Location wise its close to downtown Woodstock which has a great atmosphere with a lot of shops, eateries site seeing, etc. Everything was clean upon arrival and it was like an oasis in the middle of the Catskills! We had originally searched for a lake cabin or ocean front rental but this place turned out to be perfect with everything we needed.

Wonderful Mountain Getaway

We rented this lovely home for a summer week's escape and were sad to have to leave. We're a family of five, with kids of 3, 7, and 13 respectively and there was plenty of room to spread out. More importantly, there was something to keep everyone engaged, from the jungle gym and lawns to the billiards & ping pong tables to the swimming pool...oh that pool! We quickly learned that the daily routine (as mandated by our children) would be to wake up, meander down to the pool house in the dawn dusk, cook up breakfast, and spend the balance of the day floating in saline goodness. The pool house has all the comforts and amenities for lazy summer days and nights. Jane and Richard, the property owners, spend a good portion of their time in this home and it shows in the quality of care and upkeep. It's a well-loved home inside and out. And we couldn't have asked for nicer people to have as property owners. Jane checked in regularly to make sure everything was in good order for us (and to make sure the pool was not running too low...for which we were quite grateful). And they have a local caretaker who keeps the grounds beautifully maintained and is available to assist with any maintenance issues. Location-wise, the property is comfortably nestled against the foothills of the mountains; far enough from the madding crowd to feel secluded but an easy 20 minutes to the restaurants and boutiques of both Woodstock and Saugerties. Highly recommend this property!

Why they chose this property

Jane's family vacationed in this area when she was young. We love the mountains and couldn't resist this property when we drove by it. For art, antiquing, people watching and great restaurants and book stores, Woodstock and Saugerties have it all.

What makes this property unique

Fell in love with this house for the view and the open lawns for kids to play. Over the years we have renovated this house and just completed an upstairs new wing of 2 bedrooms, a bathroom and a child's area.
