About this property
Cozy Downstairs Bungalow Unit 1 Mile from Kehena Beach, 0.2 Miles to the Ocean
Hear sounds of crashing waves at this 1 bed, 1 bath unit, about 0.9 mile walk to Kehena Black Sand Beach! Cook meals with fresh foods from local farmer markets and neighborhood fruit stands. Bask in the glory of a private outdoor shower with bamboo enclosure. Work from home with a dedicated office space. Explore everything lower Puna offers with it's rugged, canopied coastal roads and Sunday drum circle. Attend a Wednesday evening at Uncle Roberts with live music and Kava Bar! Adventure up to Volcano National Park. Live your Hawaii dream!
The laundry area under the house through the barn doors is a shared space with the upstairs unit.
Home is located at the front of Kalapana Seaview Estates, which has 933 lots ranging from about 7500sqft to about 9000sqft in size with 3 parks owned collectively by the Community Association. Zoned agricultural, neighborhood farm stands locate themselves by front driveways as you meander by! There is a dark sky policy to facilitate better star gazing at night, so try to keep the lights to a minimum.
There are two parking spaces. You will park in the "Aloha" Bungalow space, labeled with a painted sign on the right toward the front corner of the house as you drive in. It is highly recommended you rent a car during your stay, as things are spread out on Big Island.

Why they chose this property
If you've ever read, "The Big Orange Splot" by Daniel Pinkwater, this neighborhood is kinda like that! Eclectic, eccentric, quirky, unique with street side home grown fruit and baked good stands.
What makes this property unique
You can hear the sound of the ocean. Newly renovated.
