This as a perfect stay, wonderful accommodation with everything we needed. Great location so close to Piedmont park and great food. Will definitely come back and highly recommend.
Daughter got me Strings tix for Xmas. Booked this spot because it was in Virginia Highlands, my wife's old stomping grounds. Great location. Place is is exactly what we expected. Old, funky, fun. Very accomodating manager, quick response times. Plenty of free parking if needed.
We enjoyed our week at this property. For the unit, while it is an apartment, we could hear some occasional conversation from other units. It's an older home, so the floors creak and we felt we had to try and minimize our walking at night as to not disturb the unit below us. Nothing bad, just something to think on if you are night owls like us. Beautiful architecture, and nicely furnished. We were very comfortable with the amenities (great wifi). Parking is available on the side street, it just might be a bit down the road as it can get full during evening time. There is street noise (Monroe is a busy street), but we turned on fans when we went to bed and slept fine. All in all a nice place to stay.
Beautiful but not insulated. One small space heater. I never did get warm. I would have given a 5 star but the lack of insulation in the front room and kitchen was an issue with me being comfortable.
Per the listing it is street parking only. There are multiple units in this house and you will have to fight for street parking. Parking across the street means crossing a 4 lane busy street.

Hi, Carol,
First and foremost, thank you for taking the time to leave a review.
I wanted to address your concerns: you reached out on the last day of your stay to let me know it was too cold inside. I recommended adjusting the thermostat to your comfort level and mentioned the space heater available for use. I also asked you to keep me posted if it didn’t warm up, so I could arrange for maintenance to check the issue. Unfortunately, that was the last I heard from you regarding the temperature.
Upon your departure, I discovered that the filter needed to be changed, which was likely the cause of the cool temperature. If you had informed me earlier, I would have resolved the issue immediately.
As for parking, this has never been a concern for previous guests, as there is usually street parking available close to the home. While availability may vary depending on the day, time, and season, there are typically spots within a reasonable distance, and the neighborhood is very safe.
Thank you again for your feedback. I hope you enjoyed your time in the area and wish you all the best in your future travels!
