Perfect for relaxing and escaping the stresses of everyday life. Comfortable, clean, and very accommodating for our needs. Host Tony was excellent with quick responses to my questions. Even people who live on Coopers Mtn welcomed us as they drove by us as we walked. Out stay at Serenity Base met all our expectations!
We loved staying here. We wanted to experience the luxe dome. It exceeded all our expectations. The bed was so comfortable and being able to look out at the night sky and the dawn while still laying there was so restful. The company was so helpful. We had an issue with the hot tub. They had a maintenance man there the next day. We received correspondence from them concerning our stay giving recommendations and asking if any problems. We were very impressed with their professionalism. We had picked this area because we wanted to do a little leaf peeping and to ride the Potomac Eagle. We plan to definitely come back. Only considerations just know there is only a small refrigerator so maybe have a cooler if have a lot of food that needs to be cold.
We are adventurous foody travellers. And this place was just what we needed after a two day long trip of outdoor adventures. We coukdnt have asked for a better private, remote, and beautiful place in the lap.of mother nature. Absolutely Mesmerizing and Relaxing. Dont think twoce...Go for ahead and BOOK IT !
My husband and i shared our honeymoon here together. It was perfect! The owner was so wonderful and the place is super special. We were looking for a relaxing place to stay in the mountains and couldn't have asked for a better time.Being able to lay in bed and view the stars was so great. We were lucky enough to see the meteor shower from the hot tub. Normally when we stay at a place the grill is gross and not usable...but here it was not the case and we got to grill an amazing meal using local food. When i searched for places in the area to stay this was one of the first that popped up and it was so unique that we had to go. Thanks for an amazing stay! We will be back and many of our friends are excited to check it out, too!
I live in DC with my wife and three young kids. I love camping/hiking, drinking (and sometimes brewing) great beer and wine, exploring new restaurants and shops, and traveling all over.
Why they chose this property
We spent years searching for the perfect getaway, and wanted to be close enough to DC that we could do a day trip. We fell in love with the area – Serenity Base in particular. We love how cute and cozy our cabin is, and all the fun outdoor activities we can enjoy year-round. :)
