We’re sorry that several aspects of the home did not meet your expectations. We do want to clarify a few points for future guests. The shades on the front windows are spring‑loaded, and the guests before you had no difficulty using them. They’re designed to help keep the home cooler during the extreme heat waves we experienced this summer, but we understand they can feel unfamiliar if you haven’t used that style before. Regarding cleanliness, we received no concerns or photos during your stay, but after your departure we did identify one living‑room chair that needed to be steam‑cleaned. That has since been fully taken care of. As for the outdoor area, the home is surrounded by pine trees, and after the storm that passed through, pine needles and debris were naturally blown onto the patio. A couple of outdoor chairs had tipped over from the wind, but we did not receive any mention or photos of an overturned table. We had also informed you ahead of time about a small branch resting on a power line so you could steer clear until the power company arrived—something that was already in pro

Since your stay, we’ve taken care of the items you mentioned: - Replaced the caulking in both bathtubs and bathroom windows. - Tightened all kitchen cabinet doors and fixed shelving in the medicine cabinet. - Installed a new lock on the bifold door, which is now an owner’s closet. - Cleaned the ceiling fan globe above the dining table. - Replaced the HVAC filter (with extras left in the closet), opened registers upstairs, and adjusted furniture placement to improve airflow. - Purchased brand‑new pots and pans and discarded the old ones. Had we known about their condition during your stay, we would have been happy to replace them on the spot. Regarding the “leak” you noted, the closet in question has no plumbing, and both the wall and floor were dry during inspection. We’ll continue monitoring in case it relates to the upstairs shower. We truly value guest input—it helps us keep the property in good shape beyond cosmetic updates. Thank you again for your review, and we’re glad your dogs enjoyed the backyard.
