Escape to Our Private Adirondack Cabin Retreat

Experience the peace and beauty of our secluded Adirondack Cabin, a modern 3-bedroom retreat nestled just 60 feet from the pristine waters of Lake Adirondack. Located on a private 6-acre retreat, this cabin combines rustic charm with modern comforts, featuring beautiful knotty-pine walls and a fully equipped kitchen with a glass-top electric range, convection oven, toaster, microwave, refrigerator, and Keurig coffee maker with pods.

The spacious 32’ x 34’ cabin offers an open and comfortable layout, including a large 15’ x 24’ combined living room and kitchen area. Relax and take in breathtaking lake views from the 8’ x 15’ screened-in porch overlooking the island. The cabin includes a full indoor bathroom as well as an oversized outdoor shower for a refreshing nature-inspired experience.

Located on Mallard Point’s private 17-acre property and surrounded by over 100,000 acres of state land, our retreat offers exceptional privacy with approximately 300 feet of private shoreline. The sandy beach is ideal for children, featuring shallow water and no sudden drop-offs.

Our retreat also includes two privately owned islands, perfect for swimming, exploring, and picnicking. Guests can enjoy a poly raft with an aluminum ladder, a 12-foot rowboat, canoe, kayaks, outdoor fire pits, picnic tables, and a charcoal grill—all included with your stay.

Escape the noise and crowds on our quiet dead-end road, where you can truly relax and reconnect with nature. Spring-fed Lake Adirondack offers excellent fishing opportunities, including Northern Pike, Large and Smallmouth Bass, Black Bass, Perch, Sunfish, Lake Trout, Pickerel, and Bullhead.

Nature lovers will appreciate the peaceful wildlife surrounding the property. Guests may encounter friendly native ducks and chipmunks, as well as loons, blue herons, osprey, beavers, deer, and occasionally moose. Please note that, due to the sensitive wildlife environment and guest allergies, we kindly request that no dogs or cats be brought to the property. There are also no poisonous snakes in this area.

Conveniently located just two miles from the Hamlet of Indian Lake in the heart of the Adirondacks, our cabin provides easy access to local amenities, including stores, laundromats, post offices, banks, ATMs, marinas, ice cream shops, and more. Within a 10-mile radius, you’ll find countless rivers, lakes, ponds, streams, hiking opportunities, and the four highest mountains south of Mount Marcy.

The nearby town park on Lake Adirondack offers a meeting hall, playground, volleyball and basketball courts, pavilion, and public boat launch.

This was one of my favorite vacations in a long time. The cabin was clean and perfect for my family. The location on the lake is awesome. If you’re into paddle sports, the lake is very easy to navigate. There’s a loon sanctuary as well as two islands that come with the rental. The host was very helpful and was easy to communicate with. We enjoyed a couple days of hiking locally. We also liked the central Adirondack location. We did a day trip to Lake George great escape as well as a day trip to Lake Placid. The cabin itself had all the cooking utensils we needed. We cooked most all of our meals there. Also note there is a grill but it’s charcoal so bring some. However, Stewarts in town had anything we needed as well as delicious ice cream. I also enjoyed the outdoor shower. In the end this was the vacation I needed to relax and enjoy a great camp on a lake surrounded by nature.

Great get away!

Greg was a great host with just the right amount of communication! We were able to sue the provided row boat to watch the fireworks from the lake - what a treat! Would stay here again without any hesitation.

Property location was excellent. Great access to the lake and wonderful screened porch. Kitchen and bath all in good working order. No air conditioning, but fans in every room. Bedrooms and bathroom, are small but adequate.

Thank you, Howard, for clarifying when you text me that your comment about the air conditioning was a typo and that there is AC. I also appreciate your willingness to change it if there had been an edit option. You were a wonderful guest, communicated well, and left the place in excellent condition.

Water front Cabin

The place was easy to get to, it was clean, the property was my favorite part. Being on the water was so nice and it was quiet. It was nice having an outdoor shower. The owner was very nice, text me during our stay to see if we needed anything, he was great. Definitely would stay again.

This cabin was exactly what i was looking for. Quiet, peaceful, and beautiful views. I stayed with my daughter and mom and we loved the laid back feel of this place. Sitting watching the water and all the different types of birds, playing card games at night and sitting in front of the fire making smores. I will definitely be going back.

We spent a week here in July. Beautiful property, quiet neighborhood, it’s off a dead end road so you don’t hear traffic at all. The lake is awesome especially for kids, very sallow so they can swim and kayak easily between islands and dock. Ducks and loons hang around which my kids loved. House was fantastic for us and met all of our needs. Added bonus was the outdoor shower, amazing for rinsing off after getting out of the lake. They conveniently have firewood to purchase right on site. Greg was amazing prior, during and after our stay checking in to make sure our accommodations were being met and if we needed anything. Thank you again for sharing such a wonderful place!

Greg and his family are great hosts, very friendly, welcoming, and going the extra mile to make sure everyone is happy. We had access to a row boat, paddle boat, canoes, and kayaks which was a lot of fun. The cabin is right on the lake so you can just walk out and go for a swim or boat ride. The kids were most enthusiastic about the two private islands they could go to and be on. One even has a fire pit and picknick table! There's also a chiminea for fires and s'mores, with a beautiful view of the lake. The cabin was spotlessly clean, and perfect for our family of 5 and our dog. The big fridge was great to put all of our groceries in that we brought for the long weekend, worked perfectly and was very clean. There is a nice charcoal grill outside to use (which we did multiple times!). The bathroom has everything it needs and the shower was very nice. We are hoping to return again next summer as this has been the best cabin/lake experience we've had so far. 100% recommend! Thank you so much Greg, for making it an amazing weekend!

Hosting this family was an absolute pleasure. They were considerate, respectful of the house, and kept everything clean — including being excellent with their dog. They followed all house rules and asked permission when unsure about anything. The children were outgoing, polite, and a joy to interact with! The thoughtful tip they left was above and beyond — a generous and kind gesture that’s deeply appreciated. Their kind words about their stay are greatly valued. Highly recommended!

During our stay, my husband, our two kids, and I were charged unexpected fees that were never disclosed in advance, including a pet fee and “extra guest” charges, even though the listing states the property accommodates up to 5. The cabin was dirty at check-in, the refrigerator was broken (spoiling groceries we brought), and the shower leaked, leaving the bathroom floor constantly wet. The stove smoked due to leftover food, and alarmingly, the smoke detector did not work. Trash from previous guests was left at our door and later scattered by animals. The property is advertised with air conditioning, but only one window unit in the living room was provided; bedrooms had none. Bedding and kitchen supplies were inadequate, and overall conditions were unsanitary and unsafe. Additionally, the host lived next door and frequently appeared around the property at odd times, which made us feel uncomfortable and lacking privacy. Overall, between misleading charges, poor maintenance, and safety concerns, I cannot recommend this property.
Dirty stove that caught fire when cooking
Meat that spoiled due to broken refrigerator
Shower leaked constantly and spilled onto bathroom floor
Dish placed in refrigerator to catch the leaking water

We truly enjoy hosting this unique, peaceful lakefront cabin on its large property. The lake is always quiet and a real treasure. It’s especially gratifying to know that someone’s stay directly supports our mission endeavors, particularly in Third World countries. Having others enjoy this serene place also makes a meaningful impact on the lives of those less fortunate, which is incredibly rewarding.

Why they chose this property

The place is so picturesque, quiet, quiet, quiet, and relaxingly peaceful! This is the greatest neighborhood!

What makes this property unique

The property is so unique because it’s a very large parcel compared to the rest of the properties on the Lake and we border over a 100,000 acres of state land. Plus we have two private islands. What more could we ask for?
