Chateau Stonington was the perfect spot for my family to gather for a wedding weekend. What a spectacular place for us to wake up on a July morning, and to spend our downtime before leaving for the wedding festivities in Stonington. Super comfortable accommodation in the ideal location.

The place was beautiful! The paddle boards were a little hard to find, but we got to them eventually. Everything was as listed. Would absolutely go back again.

The property was clean and well stocked with what we would / might need. There was plenty of room for our group of five plus more. The furniture is a little dated but comfortable. Decorations were cute and fun. Master suite is very well appointed. TV remotes were a little funky to operate (but that is more Xfinity’s fault than the owner’s fault). The mixup at check-in was also not the owner’s fault, Vrbo did not update the door code as the owner instructed. Overall we enjoyed our stay very much, but I do think we overpaid.

Family vacation

We have stayed here many times in the past and we knew that our midwestern relatives would love it, which they did. The chateau never disappoints! Swim spa was a big hit, and the Stonington / Mystic area has great restaurants and cute shops.

Beautiful Chateau

It was very nice! We enjoyed the kayaks and paddle boards. The swim spa was also very nice. My only complaint would be the low water pressure and how it goes from extremely hot to freezing cold over and over as you are showering.

The house is gorgeous, with almost every room overlooking the water, and a beautiful outdoor space overlooking the cove far from any noise or neighbors. The house comes with a couple of kayaks you can drop right into the cove. The hosts and property manager are super responsive. We love it there!

Wedding Weekend

From the absolutely spectacular and peaceful view to the cleanliness and the ease of communication with the host and property manager, this is an amazing place to stay. We had a little trouble with the code to get in upon arrival, but the property manager answered right away and we were in to start our weekend. Had a beautiful back drop for photos as we got ready for our family wedding. Beds were super comfortable and plenty of space for everyone. The home was better than we expected. Wish we had more time to be there. Thank you for sharing this beautiful location.

Listing details misgiving

Pictures show twin beds in one bedroom and sofa bed in a separate room. Sofa bed was not in an individual room. It was in the living room.
