Resting high overlooking the lake, Bridgewater Bay Get-a-Way offers beautiful views both day and night of Smith Mountain Lake. Whether your visit entails getting away and resting or you are looking for fun, SML offers it all. Enjoy a day boating on the lake fishing or exploring the coves and eat at one of the many lake front eating places or hang back and enjoy the pool. Enjoy beauty and comfort in this spacious condo/villa. The fully appointed kitchen allows guests to prepare meals and the Traeger Grill on the back deck allows for amazing grilling. The back deck provides a view of the lake and community dock. The deck is a perfect place to end the evening watching the grand sunsets, the deer eating and the ducks crossing the lake. The property has two master bedrooms (1 King and 1 Queen) with spacious bathrooms (1 with jetted tub) and two smaller bedrooms (1 Full and 1 Queen) with a nearby bathroom. There is a full size pull out sofa, a twin size pull out sofa and a full size bean bag convertible to a mattress. Two other toddler/child sleeping options available. The basement has a pool table, ping pong table, centipede video game, games and a popcorn machine. The downstairs patio has a fire pit and outdoor furniture. The unit also comes with several child sized kayaks and two adult kayaks. Children's life vests available. Corn hole, community pool and hot tub, walking paths and tennis courts. Safe road on a cul-de-sac is perfect for children riding bikes. Dock space to park your boat overnight.

Great Labor Day Stay

Celeste was so easy to work with and the house was amazing. It was a great mini retreat for my family that included seniors, adults and kids all having a wonderful stay! The house was very well equipped and located close to many amenities. Highly recommend.

Family Vacation

We enjoyed our stay so much that we are thinking about doing this every year instead of the beach! So relaxing and the property was perfect for our group. The owner had great communication with me and was such a joy to work with. Unit was perfect location, well stocked with absolutely anything you could possibly need. This was a perfect place for a weekend getaway with the girls. Beautiful views and a very clean condo. Nice and private location not too far from popular places at the lake. We rented a boat from parkway marina which is located right down the road. This was a wonderful experience. Very pleasant owner. We hope to return soon.

More than a lake house

The location is fantastic, with a great dock for fishing and a splendid view. I can't say enough about the amenities. It had everything you could possibly want. There was plenty of room to spread out and enjoy a great vacation. The owner was very helpful in answering questions and providing useful recommendations and tips. One of our best trips ever. Well worth the 5 hour drive!!!

Wonderful condo right on the lake!

This was an amazing stay. There was plenty of room for all my guests. Parking was easy for all of us. The best part is waking up to the lake right outside the window. Who could ask for more. Celeste was always in contact if ever we needed anything. It's also located about 10 minutes from the state park if you want to do some hiking, and close to many restaurants. I would suggest staying here all the time.

Family trip

We brought our parents to SML for the first time. Our whole family had a wonderful time. Beautiful balcony views, a pool, our puppers had a designated potty area on the side of the building, plenty of beds, full kitchen, and multiple grills available by the pool. Bring your charcoal and towels! This place is awesome. *Bonus* The owner is great at communicating if you need anything or forget something.

Perfect Week

The house exceeded expectations; it is every bit as good as represented online, perhaps better. It was remarkably well equipped, from Qtips to kayaks. The view from the balcony is lovely in the daytime, sometimes spectacular at sunset. Good restaurants, a couple of large supermarkets, and boat rental agencies are close by. Our host Celeste responded to all questions promptly and provided clear instructions about the features and policies of the house. I recommend it enthusiastically.

Great week at SML

This is an absolute wonderful place to stay!! We’ve been coming as a family to SML for over 30 years. This is one of the best places we have ever booked. Celeste was very responsive and so easy to work with. We had no issues at the house. Linens all included was a huge bonus and kitchen is well stocked. Wonderful neighborhood. Plenty to do inside the house with games, ping pong and centipede game. We had a blast despite our rainy week. If you are considering booking this , don’t hesitate. You will not be disappointed!

Awesome Time

Upon arrival, my kids hugged me and said, “Thank you, mom!”The house was super clean and beautifully decorated. The pictures don’t do it justice. This home made us feel so comfortable. It was so spacious, the kids had a blast playing hide and go seek. There are so many amenities. Kayaks, paddle boards, canoes, tubes, fire pit, games, a real life Centipede arcade game — sorry, I took all the high scores! There was a huge closet with all the water “toys” and at least 20 life vests hung up in a row. It was incredible! There was so much to do. The lake and our view of it was absolutely stunning. We also enjoyed the rec center. They played pickle ball, tennis and flag football under the lights. They also enjoyed the pool. Thank you for a wonderful vacation. Bravo!

what a deal

best unit in whole complex and very reasonable prices. its close to everything by water or land and its awsome to be able to walk down the hill and get into your boat. the pool hours are the longest anywhere. 8am till 11pm. on top of everything else the owner is so pleasent and easy to work with and is always available for whatever you need.

Great stay

Stayed with wife and three kids on a three night trip to SML in July 2019. The place is great for families -- clean with plenty of beds for a 2br condo (a king, a bunk with a twin and a full, and a daybed). Owner is terrific -- went out of her way to help us on a couple of occasions. Huge couch can accommodate everyone for movie night. The one thing I'd change is the bring-your-own-linens thing...I'd have happily paid more to not have to worry about bringing sheets or towels, but that's not really a problem, just a preference. Recommend, and would stay again!

Born in Hilo, Hawaii, water was always peaceful to me, but the sand and salt became very unappealing when we had children. LAKE LIFE gave me the water, amazing sunsets and adventure without the salt and sand. (Please note: The reviews are for a different property. You'll find positive comments pertaining to me as a host. I am attentive and accommodating. We live nearby and generally respond quickly to concerns.)

Why they chose this property

We moved closer to the bridge area for convenience and proximity to the area's fun attractions like grocery, restaurants, music, kids arcades, ice cream etc., but our cove is perfect for swimming, floating, kayaking (We provide 2-6) and water enjoyment. Although we have always loved vacationing at SML, it's pretty amazing to call it home now. There is plenty to do in the area since the lake is nestled between mountains, national and state parks and wineries.

What makes this property unique

The property has so many activities to offer: pool table, ping pong, antique centipede, games for adults and kids, corn hold, kayaks. Our favorite things to do are boating and jet skiing, packing a picnic lunch and cruising the lake. We love finding quiet coves to swim in. There's just something about the taste of the pizza at the Pizza Pub or a Peach Sangria at Mexico Viejo (Bridgewater and Crazy Horse Marinas) or maybe it's just the boat ride and working up the appetite. We love going to the sand beach at the state park to get a just enough sand in our toes.. Walking the wooded trails with our dogs is a plus too. We swim and jump off the dock. Floating, sunning, boating--that's what it's all about. Wineries abound in the area. Our favorite is the Peaks of Otter Winery. . .it's not a bit stuffy. :-)
