We are blessed with our 2022 renovated, beautiful ocean view, building 7 Alii Kai condo. We are willing to share it with clean, conscientious vacationers.
This is an ideal place to stay for exploring the abundance of year-round activities in Kauai. If you compare other available condos, you will see this is a great bargain.
Our view is spectacular and the condo is well-appointed for easy living. We have four sons and have set it up for two parents and up to three kids. Two couples can work out if one sleeps in the twin beds.

9verall, the unit was clean but The sofa pillows & cushions smelled of body odor. The toilet paper holder in master bath wasn’t securely attached to wall. The patio needs a table. Upgraded bedding with natural fibers would definitely be preferred.

Amazing Stay!

Everything was absolutely perfect about our stay. The condo was well equipped with everything my family needed for.a comfortable 8 night stay. The place was beautifully remodeled, clean and had the most amazing views from every room! You can’t beat the location! We can’t wait to come back.

My Favorite VRBO on the Island

This is the second time we have stayed at this Alii Kai condo. It’s just the best. Clean. Quiet. Easy to access. All necessary amenities. No issues checking in or out. It’s has a lovely ocean view from the lanai and easy access to the pool and parking. As long as it’s available I’ll stay here, every time!

Great condo!

We had a very great time at this condo. It slept 4 adults very comfortably. The view was awesome, we sat on the patio and had coffee every morning and listened to the waves crashing into the cliffs below.

Amazing view and wonderful condo

The condo was very clean and ready for us to enjoy. There were several extras we were pleased with; beach chairs, beach towels, snorkel gear, etc. The location was in a private community and was very peaceful and quiet. Our stay was relaxing and very enjoyable.

Amazing Condo with ocean views from every room!!!

This condo has been very tastefully updated, and has incredible ocean views over the cliffs. Alii Kai has easy parking, pool, and grills to use. We will try to stay here again in the future. Highly recommended!

Lovely View - Comfortable Home

The home has a great ocean view and was very clean. We would recommend this home. It would have helped to have a second house key, as folks don’t always travel together on their Kauai excursions. All in all - a delightful stay! Thank you!

Home away from home!

My family stayed a full week and we had everything we might need while there! The kitchen is fully stocked with appliances and gadgets for anything and everything. The cross breezes from the windows kept the unit cool and it was so close to the pool! We would definitely stay here again.

Nice place

Great Northside loaction in Princeville. Very nice decorations, furniture, view of the ocean, and spacious. On the downside, kind of noisey. You can hear the neighbors easy, every toilet flush upstairs is loud. Geese in backyard woke me up everyday, and no wifi.

Wonderful property & location

This condo was perfect for our family, 4 adults. Both bathrooms are nicely remodeled, great water pressure and the washer & dryer are a nice addition in the large master suite. The kitchen has most everything you need. The deck is small, but what a view! And with the doors wide open the ocean breezes blow through and out the ding window. Nice ceiling fans throughout, we didn’t miss not having a/c. The surrounding condos, resorts and homes are all connected by the the beautiful streets to walk. The grounds are beautiful and there are a few viewpoints where you can sit high above the ocean and watch the sunset and the surf. There is no safe path to the beach, but Hanalei Bay and Anini Beach are both so close. I would definitely recommend this property to my family and friends!

OK, but would not rent again.

We have stayed in Princeville before and love the area. This condo has an amazing view, which is the best part about it. I was also pleased that there is a good quality king size bed. I was disappointed that at check-in we found out that the property was under repair and that scaffolding was in front of the guest windows. Since the view is important it was also disappointing that we found ourselves having to clean the windows and screens as they were both filthy. Finally, and this is no fault of the owners, as somebody already mentioned, this is an old property and the walls are very thin. For our six day stay we had upstairs neighbors that woke up to an alarm at 6 AM every morning and sounded like elephants. You could hear every step they took. When they flush the toilet‘s you hear it very loud in the downstairs unit. Who goes on vacation to wake up at an alarm at 6 AM every morning? On top of it, somebody up there snored so loud every night that they woke all of us up on occasion. Last, the folks in unit 102 decided that they would start packing at 3:45 in the morning for their flight. Really? The walls are so thin that you were definitely subject to who you have as neighbors and we were not fortunate in that respect.

Wish it was a better stay

Our stay was a mixture of both good and bad experience. Good: -Location: the place is in a perfect location with nice view and in a quiet neighborhood. It is closed to all nice hiking trails and less crowds. Grocery store is less than 10 min away, which is very convenience. It was raining, storming and windy almost everyday when we were there, so a quick run to the Food Land grocery store was all we did. -The condo: well stock with all the essential items that needed for a week-long stay. - The owner, Will, was VERY responsive in answering my calls or text even when he couldn't do anything. Bad: - The place was not cleaned when we checked in at 5:30 p.m. Dirty towels, trash and other stuff were still there. We had to leave the place so that the housekeeper can come in to clean it. It was not a good start of a vacation. - The TV was not working; the audio was completely dead. It was raining and windy during our stay, so we stuck inside the condo without any entertainments. This made the whole stay unbearable. After telling us "to figure it out", the owner offered to refund us $200 to compensate for this, still we already disappointed. - The towels were old and smelly, It seemed like they were left for days before being washed, or they were left in the washer for a long time before they get put in the dryer. We had to rewash all of them but the smell was still there. Overall, I wish we had a better stay and to enjoy the condo more. Unfortunately, we did not.

A Northern View of the Pacific Ocean

My wife and I stayed in this condo for 8 days. I have nothing but good things to say about this rental. We used it as our base while we explored Kauai for the first time. There's not too much to do in Princeville, but Hanalei Bay was a 12 minute drive away. Tunnels beach took a little over 30 minutes to get to. Anini beach was about 15 minutes away. A drive to Kapaa on the west side of the island took about 35 minutes. The Alii Kai condos are tucked up at the edge of the cliffs with a northern view of the Pacific ocean. There are some steep trails that lead down to the ocean very close to this condo. The nearest notable ones are the Queen's Bath and Turtle Cave. My wife and I were tempted to trek down but we didn't. Maybe next time. Overall the condo complex is quiet and the pool is lovely. The people we met there were all very nice. The condo itself is definitely a gem. The kitchen had all the appliances and cookware we needed for home made meals and with Foodland and the Hanalei Bay Dolphin fish market close by we took advantage of the amenities. Luckily for us there were plenty of seasonings left from previous renters so we didn't have to spend money on salt and pepper and herbs for our breakfasts and dinners. Although there is no AC in the condo there was a breeze every evening and the condo would cool off significantly over night. We were there during early September with temps in the upper 80's and it wasn't uncomfortable. The condo also had plenty of towels both for the bathroom and beach and a ton of beach gear. Fins, snorkels, a cooler, chairs, umbrellas, there was a lot to discover in the condo to take to the beach. And there were a family of Nene's hanging out in back everyday. Overall I give this condo 5 stars. I would definitely rent it again.

Outdated condo with terrible and rude management

Choose this condo due to location and kitchen, washer and dryer. While in route to the destination the owner told us that TV is not working (i did not work until the day we left).Condo is outdated, mold on the pillows, chipped paint and barely closing widows. Due to dust and old smell everywhere had to vacuum almost every day. Next day after arriving, after using washing machine only ones it stopped working. Since we travelling with a 2 year old, washing machine is crucial to us. We contacted the owner about the problem to which we received a reply next day "We never had that happen to our $2500 machine. User manual is in the closet, you can also use a website to troubleshoot the problem. Good luck!" We told the owner that we are not going to attempt to fix anything, since that is not what we paid for and due to liability. It took him 3 days to get a repairman Jason to whom I spoke. Turned out to be a bad design of the machine draining system and Jason had to come out additional two time to keep the machine going. Forgot to mention, that owner contacted the repair man only when i filed a complaint though VRBO. Meanwhile me and my wife had to go to local laundry place, what a wonderful experience to have to do that while on vacation. Anyhow, the owner lives on the mainland, so communication is terrible. He only replies once a day and never was any helpful or showed any regret for what we had to go through. Whatever excuses he post's do not trust them, he does not know the first thing about customer service and satisfaction. FYI all the stuff that is in the condo, soap, chemicals etc. is left over from previous customers. Once again very outdated unit, poor and rude management. Hope this is helpful to your decision making. Stay elsewhere, don't get tempted by the view. Views are beautiful everywhere and anywhere you stay. The ocean view was amazing and the condo has everything you need from coolers, beach chairs, boogie boards and snorkel gear. The close proximity to the pool, 1 Hanalei Hotel, shopping in Princeville and the road to Hanalei was perfect. The condo does not have AC so it can be quite warm and I wish the sheets were cotton, because microfiber sheets are so sticky with the humidity. Besides that this is an amazing place to stay!

My husband, myself, my 18 and 15 year old daughters stayed in this lovely home for a week. We had the most amazing time exploring the beautiful island of Kauai with this beautiful condo as our home base. The condo was clean and well equipped and the views were exquisite!

We absolutely loved our stay at this condo! We spent over a week enjoying the beautiful ocean views. Will, the owner, was incredibly responsive and helpful, and honestly, the condo looks even better in person than in the photos! It’s beautifully furnished, comfortable, and thoughtfully equipped. A great bonus was all the beach gear provided, so we didn’t have to rent anything.
