Well, the owner said the property was an apartment that was only for you and your guests. Come to find out it was a house that had someone in the main area who used the driveway and the front door. We were instructed not to use the driveway nor the front door but to go through the gate which led into the backyard and an entrance that way. We weren’t to park in the driveway so the only place we could park was in the yard or on a dimly lit street. When I told the owner I didn’t feel safe staying there and uncomfortable staying in a house with a guest instead of a lone apartment-as it was listed- he said he’d give me a refund. Well, he hasn’t answered neither vrbo or myself despite multiple emails, chat requests, and calls.
