The house was within a couple of blocks of Snow Summit, which was great. Everything else as advertised - warm and cozy, with all the needed supplies an amenities.

Thank you so much for allowing us the opportunity to host you for this trip to the mountains! We appreciate having you as our guests and hope that your time with us was a very memorable experience. We are looking forward to the opportunity to host you and your family again for your next trip to Big Bear!
Very cozy, and within walking distance to ski resort for snowboarding/skiing and tubing. Property manager was very helpful at check in. The Cabin itself had a nice backyard with a firepit (propane) and grill (coal). Heater worked very well and got the cabin to a nice toasty temperature while enjoying the beautiful snowy view.
*Just an FYI because we didn't mind this but someone might* The room across from the master bedroom has a door that leads to the backyard and the air does seep through. If you sleep with the door closed and come in the winter this room will get very cold. (But we like sleeping in a chilly house so again we didn't mind this for us)
max 7 min drive to any locations, nearby a lot of resourceful spots. Will definitely be coming back.

Thanks so much for your amazing review Adileni! We made sure to add weather stripping to that door to ensure it is toasty for guests year round now! Hope to host you again for another great visit here at Popkos Place!
The location was terrific. The house was nice and roomy. Very nostalgic looking at the pictures on the walls. If you like to cook meals, like I do, you should bring your own pans. Definitely a skillet and a sheet pan. Don't forget your hair dryer either. The lighting in the dining area was not very good. We used a flashlight we brought to illuminate the area to eat and to work on a puzzle. Also wish there was a washer/dryer at the property. It would have been nice to dry damp ski gear. Having a fireplace was great and really heated up the space. We were unable to figure out how to get the TVs to work. We did reach out to management and did get a quick response back stating maintenance would come the next morning, but no one showed up. We didn't push the issue, choosing instead to use our phones and played card games. The Wi-Fi was great. Overall, it was a nice stay and would stay again in the future.

So Much Potential
Miscommunication is always the death of a business. This property is maintained by Big Bear Vacations. There is a disconnect between them and VRBO. This house had NO AC. Now, there is no way to know this until after you have already rented the house because VRBO doesn't mention it. So, you don't get that information until after you have rented the home and BBV sends out a short info about the house. Unfortunately, you may be in the no refund part of your rental and now you have an issue. Knowing that there is no AC and that (even though it's a mountain, it still gets hot) there were NO FANS available for the patrons. I will state that the BBV employees were very kind and did get me a fan. It just wasn't enough for this house. The house is old and mildewy. You can see it in the sink of the bathroom, the shower and the sink in the kitchen. The water backs up in the shower and bathroom sink and kitchen sink. The electrical sockets are a crap shoot. Some work, some don't. For a rental that is on the more expensive side, the house does not come properly equipped with what a family would need to spend a week there. Everything is mish mosh and should be updated. The carpet flooring is very spotted and the tile areas need to be replaced. This house rents as "dog friendly" and you would think the backyard would be a good place for your companion. It wasn't. It's all dirt, and rocks and truly a dangerous and dirty place to leave your best friend. Finally, you pay a cleaning fee when you rent, yet you have to take the trash to the city trash center.
I know I sound very critical. I think this cabin could be fabulous and the owners probably don't even know everything that house needs. Please be very careful when renting and make sure you ask very pertinent questions before you do rent. Once again, the employees of Big Bear Vacation were fabulous. It's the owners that need to get in there and update this diamond in the rough.

Thank you for sharing your recent experience with us. Please know that our team strives for excellence in every stay and we certainly hope to be able to host you again for a much better visit.
5min Walking distance to Snow Summit is the best when you have 9yrs old twins! Although it’s a bit pricey, you Can save money for the upper parking lot ($40 each day and plus don’t have to get up too early to get the best parking) and lunch (family of four can spend about $80 per day)

We thank you for rating us and for sharing your recent experience with us. We are glad that you find our property location to be convenient. Our Big Bear Vacations team is looking forward to hosting you again soon.
Nestled into the quiet neighborhood just a short walk to Summit! My son, dog, and I really enjoyed the cozy house and it’s location. Took us 5 mins to get from the front door to the chair! It’s also close to the town trail where there’s fantastic hiking and sledding! The recliner couch is next level and just what you need after a full day on the mountain. I will definitely stay here again, I just hope it’s available!

We are so happy to hear of your wonderful experience with us for your mountain getaway. Thank you again for being such great guests and treating our home as your own! Our team is looking forward to the opportunity to host you again!
Our main motivation for choosing this property was the lack of a 2 day minimum for weekend stay, we only wanted Sunday night for the 4th of July. We were pleasantly surprised by this cozy little house. Couch was large and comfy, internet was pretty fast, bed was comfortable. We arrived around 5pm and the house was quite warm, after about 4hrs with windows open and fans running it was nice and crisp. Great location, close to the village. Despite being the 4th we had no issues with noise. This property is reasonably priced for what it offers, we would stay here again.

Great Cabin in a Great Location
Really cute cabin in a great location near the slopes and town. Perfect for a couple, two moms and a dog. The beds were comfy, the hot water worked great, and there was a nice fire pit in the back. The few things that we wish would have been different, would be to have had more than 1 trash bag, 2 rolls of toilet paper and for the dishwasher to work since we were there over Thanksgiving weekend.
