About this property
Tranquility, Wonderful View From The Sun Room,In The Historic Shenandoah Valley
Blueberry Hill Farm vacation suite is located midway between Staunton and Lexington, in a serene country setting yet convenient to I-81 and easily found. The suite is in the upper part of our large home with a separate entrance via the upstairs porch which is for your private use. Our exceptional feature is the year-round sun room/sitting room where you have a wonderful tree-top view of the farm, pond, wildlife habitat, distant mountains, and at night the stars. The suite also includes an air-conditioned bedroom with an antique queen bed and a daybed, fully equipped kitchen, and bathroom with shower. Linens, towels, kitchenware, tableware, basic staples, coffee, tea, creamer and sweeteners are provided. You are free to use the outdoor gas grill. A TV and DVD player are available. Children 12 and over are welcome. The suite is not suitable for pets.
We invite you to enjoy the farm: Goats are the main attraction, especially in early spring when the kids are little and most amenable to human contact (and so cute!). We have fields of hay, alfalfa and sometimes corn or wheat. Walk through the woods to a large pond stocked with largemouth bass and catfish. Bring your gear. Observe the wildlife, or just relax on the porch and enjoy the serenity of the countryside.
There is so much to do in this area! In Lexington take a horse drawn carriage tour of the historic town, or attend events at the Virginia Horse Center. In Staunton take in a play at the American Shakespeare Center’s Blackfriars Theater, or visit the Frontier Culture Museum. Nearby, go for a tour and tasting at Rockbridge Vineyard, hike mountain trails, bike along picturesque country roads, go 'antiquing', or take a scenic drive along the Blue Ridge Parkway (just 15 minutes away). We have information, directions and maps in the suite for your use in planning your activities and we will be glad to help you in any other way we can.
