My wife & I celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary here. Absolutely loved it!A wonderful, rustic cabin experience with modern amenities. April (the owner) was an absolute pleasure to work with. Definitely worth staying at & experiencing. We will certainly be back.

Our stay was lovely! The property is gorgeous and relaxing. April thinks of everything; making sure we had toiletries, coffee pods, fresh water, kindling and firewood for the firepit, a delicious bottle of wine...The cabin is exactly as described. It is adorable and decorated so beautifully. Thank you for a wonderful stay, April and Merle!

This was a memorable place to stay. It looked so small from the outside, but it was plenty of space. It made my husband and I think about wasted space in our home. My son, who is 6’3”, had to duck walking around the original portions. He had plenty of space in the kitchen and bedrooms. We all loved it! The host provided firewood for the fire pit, which was needed by our whole family! Nothing like a fire on a chilly fall evening (fire therapy)! The kitchen was perfect. My husband was able to make his chili for the tailgate at VMI and breakfast the next day. The Mill was very cool and I’m glad we got to see it. Thank you for making this historic cabin available.

Slice of Heaven

The property is perfect for a relaxing getaway. The creek behind the cabin is fabulous and the sound so relaxing. The Hostess was very nice and Informative about the area. I would definitely recommend The Teachers Cabin.

Beautiful and quiet

The cabin was perfect for our romantic weekend getaway. The property is very quiet and the cabin space was just right for my husband and I since we were out exploring each day. April, our host was easy to reach if we needed anything. Highly recommend this place!

Lovely VA countryside stay

Such a picturesque setting to enjoy some calm & nature, but convenient to Lexington. It is a cabin- rustic, not pristine - it has the essentials. Bed was comfortable. Stairs a bit difficult to navigate, and indoor lighting is dim. However did enjoy the dark sky and star viewing:)

This was the perfect little getaway cabin. You are only 45 minutes to Staunton if you want to spend the day exploring or dining out. Or better yet, stay in after grabbing groceries and some local goods just up the road. Keep in mind this place has two mini fridges so not a lot of storage for cold goods. Also keep in mind this is an old cabin - ceilings are low, floors creak, and there are a few crevices so the occasional bug may come visit. April is very kind and can answer any questions and makes great recommendations. Looking forward to returning again.
