Great location down by canal park, easy parking and access to the canal park area. Big, clean condo, well stocked and usable. Quiet and comfortable. Enjoyed our family mini-vacation, and ability to get together in one spot.
Condo was beautiful, The owners thought of everything. The pool at the adjoining hotel and the Brix passport discounts were nice bonuses. The departure to-do list was very minimal.
Walking distance to restaurants, Lake Superior, shops…comfy beds and lovely place to stay. It was more costly with the Vrbo fees however we would stay again.
The room had everything I needed for my stay. It was easy to access, the hosts were quick to reply if I had any questions, and the room was very clean. I will only stay at these properties when Im in Duluth in the future.
Great location, very responsive owner- had an issue with something out of their control, but really felt they did everything they could to make out family trip a memorable one. Thanks for a picture perfect start of the summer.
The Brix are great hosts- the information they provided about everything was clear and easy to understand. But the best part about our stay was the space itself! Well worth the expense and I will be staying there again.
The room was everything as indicated with lovely amenities. Clean, comfortable beds and furniture. Conveniently located near the lift bridge, restaurants and shopping, a car isn't even needed! Communication was oustanding and we would definitely stay there again. Highest rating!
We wanted a place that offers walking distance to many attractions, has a pool, and provides both separate and social spaces for our family, ranging in age from 16 to 78. This met all our wishes. We made extensive use of the well-appointed kitchen.
The Aurora Black @ The Brix was amazing! Great location, super comfortable accommodations (everything was as described in the listing) and exceptional hosts! Our plans changed and they were able to accommodate our changes to make our trip extra special! We’ve traveled to Duluth multiple times and this was one of our most unforgettable trips because of everything Aurora Black has to offer!
The place was decorated beautifully. However, the one of the bathrooms, which was a barn door, did not have a lock. And it could be tricky to open from the inside. The beds were very comfortable and everyone slept well. The hot tub downstairs had just gotten fixed and so it was very chlorinated. but it was lovely overall to have the pool, sauna and hot tub. The location could not be beat.
The location was nice, building was ok, pool area wasn’t great. The price was expensive for what you got! I don’t think I’d stay again!

Hi Rebecca! So sorry to hear the property wasn’t up to your expectations. Unfortunately, we don’t have a lot of control over the pool area or the building as a whole. While it’s not a modern hotel, we do love the fact that it’s built in a historic 130-year-old warehouse! We understand that might not be everyone’s taste.
Feel free to shoot us a message and tell us more about how we can improve the experience inside the condo to provide better value!
The property was excellent. Clean with great amenities. But the surrounding shops and places to eat were great. The first night we did Red Lobster. One of our favorite places to eat.
We also enjoyed Caribou half a block away.
We will do it again with our granddaughters next time.
Thank you.
