Host was very good with communication. House was clean and fairly close to downtown restaurants (about 2 miles). Would definitely stay here again when we come back.
The house was perfect for our family get together in Durango, clean and spacious for adult children and our 6 grandkids and four dogs. The backyard was great for the dogs to run around and play. The pool table, ping pong table and foosball table kept the grandkids entertained. The open kitchen are was nice for every to gather. The house is close to downtown and shopping. The back patio and hot tub made it nice to relax outside and enjoy the view, also the trail up to the Lookout deck to enjoy the sunsets and the view. This house was perfect for our getaway.
Great property in a great location. Great communication from Riley. Hosted our family of 13 with no problems. Loved the hiking trail right out the back of the property! Lots of wildlife and things to do.
This is a very comfortable house no more than 6-8 minutes from downtown Durango. The well equipped brightly lit kitchen with a huge beautiful island opens to the family room, making it a great place to convene with friends. There is comfortable seating on the main deck and on the master bedroom deck. It is a delight on a sunny day sitting in one of these areas reading, looking out at a grassy green hill with no views of neighbors at all. We two couples had a very enjoyable 6 night stay here.
Stayed here for a recent trip and had a wonderful experience. Host was very responsive and let us check in early if needed. The house comfortably held the 12 people in my party and the games were a great addition!
Great separation of spaceLots of sleeping options for mixed groupClean and spaciousNice outdoor balconyLots of convenient parkingOlder adults could have shower hand holds in main bathroom. Good property

I'm so glad you had a great stay at our rental near downtown Durango! Thank you so much for the sweet card you left, and the gift. That was extremely thoughtful of you! Welcome back in the future.
My friends continually found new perks of the house they didn't initially know about and everyone loved the view from the overlook and distance to downtown.
We were in town for FLC Commencement. This very fun and very cozy property was excellent for our family. The property was pet friendly and had everything to host a nice little reception lunch. Our hosts were easy to communicate with and really went out of their way to ensure a smooth check-in and accomodated a late checkout as well.
The host was quick to answer any questions or concerns I had. He let me know that we were able to get in the house earlier than anticipated. Our party was a total of 10 and the house was laid out perfect for our needs.
We had our 19th annual guys ski trip this year and chose Durango for our home base. The house was perfect for our group of mostly 50 somethings. Would book again.
Thanks
Riley was an attentive host and allowed early checkin when the cleaners were finished early. there was plenty of room for all of us and lots of bathrooms. we would stay here again but this is the last niece to get married here.

Thanks for Staying with us Donna! I hope your stay at our beautiful rental was pleasant and met all your needs and more! We always strive for a 5 star experience for our guests. Based on your positive write up, may I ask why we only earned 4 stars from you? The VRBO rating system is not like a normal hotel star rating system. In fact, If our average rating drops below 4.3 stars, we could be at risk of getting shut down. If you had a good experience, and it sounds like you did, could I kindly ask you to edit your review to reflect 5 stars for us?
I do appreciate your consideration, and hope I get the opportunity to host you and your family again in the future!
I think as a customer, this property is over sold. The kitchen was nice and big, the property was cozy. However,I hate the directives of lists, to do this, or we will charge you this. It’s always a little aggressive and makes you just feel uneasy to enjoy your stay. Not to mention food was left in the oven upon our arrival. I get that is an over sight by the cleaners however, does that mean we’ll get any compensation because you said you’ll be charging the customer before us for not having the dishes clean?Overall the place was nice and supported our group well.

Hi Joe, so glad you had a good time at the property, and that it supported your group well! I understand you might have felt some of the house rules were a little overbearing, but let me explain why it's this way: I have come to find out over the many years of personally managing my vacation rental that having strict rules protects everyone, guests and hosts alike. I strive to have a sparkly clean, well taken care of home ready for each guest, and the only way to do this consistently is to elevate the expectations for the guests. For example, If guests don't shower before using the hot tub then oils and dirt build up in the filters and the water lines, causing long term issues and may even render the tub unusable. Thus, I have a house rule to shower off before using the hot tub. Not to mention that it takes over half a day to do a drain, clean, and refill if left dirty. That's why there is an extra fee mentioned if this is needed. Smoking is another big one. A lot of people are very sensitive to smoke, and may even have a health condition that smoke effects negatively. Thus, there is a strict non-smoking rule and a fee attached if this rule is broken. It can be quite difficult, and expensive to properly remove smoke smell or residue from a home, and I would hate for a guest to walk into my rental and have it smell like smoke. That's the reason for a fee if the no smoking rule is disregarded. We are doing our best to have a sparkly clean space ready for each unique guest!
I can’t recommend this place enough! The hosts truly went above and beyond to accommodate us, helping us get into the house early after we unexpectedly had to leave our first rental. They even reached out ahead of our stay to let us know about construction in the area and were incredibly responsive throughout our entire visit. The house was wonderful, and we especially enjoyed the outdoor space and grill—we were able to cook two great meals during our stay! We had such a positive experience and would absolutely stay here again.
Riley was extremely responsive, even dropping by with extra batteries for the TV remote! The house was big, with lots of room for the seven of us and the kids loved the ping pong, foosball, and pool table. We saw lots of wildlife from the back porch, including deer and even a bear in the neighbor’s yard. Beautiful kitchen!
We were very pleased that we made this reservation (requires a $3K deposit). The home was great for our group, and using the entire two-part home, we comfortably fit 11 without needing to use the two sofas for sleep. An important note that I wish we had known, there is only a single bedroom with bunk beds on the main floor and you must ascend or descend staircases for adult bedrooms. Not ideal for our elderly guest, and would have been a game changer for us had I known.
Bunk-beds room and kitchen on the middle floor. One bedroom with a king bed and its own bathroom on the top-most floor, and then two rooms in the basement with a kitchenette. One has an additional king bed, and there is another large room with two, basic, queen-size beds and that room also has a full pool table in it. All guests on the basement floor share a single bathroom.
There are so many activities within the house that actually were the highlight of the home for our group! It has a pool table, ping-pong table, lawn games, and foosball tables in addition to a full fire pit which was amazing for s’mores and late night fireside chats. It also has a small hot tub on the deck, but we didn’t use it.
I’d recommend this home as a nice, large group stay for anyone who can do stairs and doesn’t mind sharing rooms or staying in open areas. Bring extra paper towels and toilet paper, and know that the inside of the home is much more positive than your initial impression outside. Great memories here!
