Little Gray Cottage Secluded

Charming cottage tucked into the edge of the woods with easy access to state paved road. This is all you'll need for a quick trip or weekend to the mountains.

The kitchen has a full-size fridge, microwave, hot plate and coffee maker. If you're serious about cooking there's a full propane grill on the screened porch overlooking the stream.

Perfect for two for a weekend get-a-way. Not good for kids or longer stays. A week works or less for us.

Loved this Rental

It was very clean. The creek was great. I was out every morning drinking my coffee. Great location, we loved the small town of Franklin. Loved the shopping and restaurants.

Charming and relaxing

My husband and I had a relaxing and refreshing stay at the little gray cottage! The stream was peaceful and the location was quiet, yet located close enough to amenities like the grocery store for convenience. April was a very helpful host! We will definitely stay again!

Excellent place for a weekend getaway

We had such a wonderful weekend in the mountains at this lovely little cottage! The mountain stream out back was peaceful and the cottage itself is very cozy. Downtown Franklin was a lot of fun and we stumbled upon a few festivals which was an added perk. The cottage has everything you need for a weekend getaway and we will definitely be visiting again! Thank you so much for opening your lovely little home to us.

Came to Franklin to visit with son's and this was just right for the two of us.

Very nice. I personally spent most of my time at the gray cottage just sitting on porch enjoying the stream. Even tho the kitchen did not have a stove the other small appliances worked great for what we needed.

Perfect getaway location

We spent an excellent several days here. Everything we needed was at hand, the cottage was the perfect size for getaway for two, and the location could not have been prettier. Even without a cooktop, do you have everything you need cook there. We cooked all four nights, and never went out do you eat in town. It was the first time we both have felt like we were on vacation in over a decade, regardless of how many “vacations” we have taken. Truly relaxing, extremely peaceful, we will be back.

Exactly what we needed

This small cottage was exactly as advertised and precisely what the doctor ordered for two vacation starved adults. The place was clean and well thought out for a 550 square ft space As many reviews have mentioned, the creek 3 feet from the back porch was so relaxing and the porch itself was huge. About the only thing I would suggest was that the owners should invest in a larger TV. I realise that a lot of people wouldn't care about this, but for $300, you can get a 40 inch screen. Just a minor complaint. April, the property manager was a pleasure to work with and very kind when we lost (well, thought we lost) our key. We will definetly be staying again if we are in the area. Great location and many really nice amenities included that were thoughtful and very welcoming. Creek sounds were relaxing and added to the ambience. Bed was very comfortable. The screened porch was surprisingly large for the size of the cottage. We hope to return. Great hiking and waterfalls and vistas so close to the cottage. We really enjoyed our stay

Tiny gray cottage

I love staying here. I only wish they supplied more towels and washcloths. We were there 5 nights and had 4 for the both of us. We bought wash clothes because reusing them is not an option for us. Also it would be nice to have a larger tv.

Absolutely beautiful space!

The little gray cabin is absolutely beautiful, perfectly situated, attentively maintained and a perfect spot for a couple to discontfrom the world We had some small issues with internet connectivity, but the owner and manager both bent over backwards to take care of things I can’t recommend this place highly enough, and look very much forward to another stay in the future

A very nice place but could of used more hooks in bathroom and more counter space where the welcome.

Nice experience would of liked the cottage a few more hills up. Loved the sound of the brook.

Wonderful Stream Sounds!

The cabin was clean, well appointed and the perfect healing space for a solo female traveler looking to get away from the busy city! I really enjoyed the extra treats : popcorn, granola bars and candy. I will definitely come back. Thank you for sharing your special place.

Property was just as shown! Brook was nice but we picked a time when it was too cold for us to enjoy. Would definitely choose an earlier time to stay. Location was great could visit a number of falls which were spectacular!

Enjoyed my stay

The property is nice for one person or a couple. I loved spending time on the screened in porch listening to the water. The property is clean, well-kept and as promised in the description. It was closer to other properties than I hoped. I would give my experience the highest rating except for the barking dogs (incessant) in the neighborhood and the loud vehicles of the neighbor across the way.
