Our stay at Darling Shores was wonderful!! We had stayed there for 20 years and it's amazing to have these cabins available again. The cabins have been updated and the property looks great!!
Andrew, the property manager was very responsive and absolutely wonderful to work with! We look forward to staying again!
The place was perfect size for me and my two little boys. The communication was awesome! The checking into the cabin was easy! They have a lovely little play area for the kids to play in & the yard game were awesome! Being able to fish on the dock and lay out on the sun was great. Everything was just wonderful at this resort. That is the uptight of staying at every Resort and Less busy!

Expected small but it was really small. Floor was very uneven and slanted. The towel to dry dishes was clean but badly stained. Paid way more than it was worth.
Love the cabin and lake, only complaint is that is too expensive for what you get... everything was very clean and tidy tho, have stayed before and was great!! wish it was a little cheaper!! $700+ for 2 nights is a bit much.. Would highly recomend it tho!! nothing flashy just cute and fits for us nicely!!

Nice views | Small space | Very early check out.
The view was great and the grounds were fine. The cabin itself was very small though. We were in the "Firefly" cabin which says sleeps 4. I am glad we didn't have a 4th person. I don't know where they would have slept. One double bed in one bedroom and then 2 twins in another room - but one of the twin beds was oddly tucked under the other bed. Definitely not for 4 adults. Maybe one adult and 2 kids? If that.
We enjoy cooking and spending time in the cabin itself when we are on vacation but that was pretty hard to achieve given the space. The photos definitely make the place look a lot larger. We were also surprised by the 9AM check out time. I've seen 10AM before at some places, but never 9AM. We felt a tad rushed and really didn't get to spend too much time enjoying morning coffee on the deck because our time was spent cleaning - even though we paid a cleaning fee!! Lastly, we never heard anything from the hosts after we checked in. Not even a thank you for staying. For a 2 night stay that was pretty pricey for what we got, I guess I was expecting a little more. Unimpressed and will not be back unfortunately... They had other cabins on premise, so I cannot say to those ones - this was just the "Firefly".
