Location was great and house was very spacious for three couples. Outside deck was wonderful. We were surprised that there was no shower soap or shampoo, and that we had to make our own beds (although all sheets and towels were clean). Biggest challenge was that the floors were not swept and carpet was not vacuumed. Expected the house to be more clean.

July 2026 weeklong visit. We appreciated the reasonable cost and enjoyed size of this house (4 bedrooms/2 baths), lovely new deck, a backyard, and the ability to bring our dog. It's in a quiet, safe residential area not too far of a drive from the Coast Guard/Tower main part of Narragansett. Monahan's clam shack had a 45-minute wait to order even at 5:30 pm but the RI chowder and clams were delicious. This area was a nice launching off point for driving to explore Newport, Providence, and get to the ferry to Block Island. NOTE for dog owners: RI bans dogs from the beaches during the summer season and even some local outdoor events. One dog friendly area of Narragansett is seaside Black Point. Photos are of Narragansett but we didn't spend much time there as that beach is designated for residents only. We drove 20 minutes to get to one of the various state beaches. We gave the house 4 stars because the lack of furniture (for example, lacking side tables and coffee table in lower level) along with "must replace" sagging sofas on both floor levels. Upgrade to "gently used" instead of sinking into decades old couches and arm chairs -- with 'when were they last washed?' covers on all of them -- and it would be a 5-star gem. The A/C is individual room units which could be quite loud when running at night.

Perfect Vacation House

This was our first time staying at this particular house in the lake area. We entered to a sparkling clean home. The manager had kept us up to date with arrival and check in procedures. They periodically checked in with us to make sure everything was OK, including an easy checkout. We are already thinking about next year. We were reimbursed for the state park Beach pass, which was an added bonus. I definitely recommend this home. Our favorite place is the lake.

Great place for family get-together

We stayed here with our 2 sons and their families, which included a 4 year old, 1 year old and 6 month old. We wanted a place with easy access to beaches, and this place was perfect! We visited Scarborough and Newport beaches and had a great time. The house was spacious and clean, and had enough kitchen supplies to meet our needs. Nice neighborhood and a good-sized back yard were plusses. Everything went smoothly and Carly and Karisa were great hosts. We would stay here again!

Check in day we didn't receive the lock box code. Only the door code. Had to call the listing agent for this. Very annoying. There was a poison ivy vine growing.up through the outside steps. My husband removed it, but ended up getting poison on his arm from it. Glad he moved it. Everyone else would have gotten it too.Upon entry of the rental, you can visibly see it was not cleaned properly. We had to purchase cleaning products ourselves & clean the whole rental. The floors were gross. Used about 17 sheets of the wet Swiffer on the floors. Carpets are really dirty. Need a good cleaning or just replace the carpet. The hand rails on the steps were disgusting. They were gray due to dirt, not white. Seemed as though they were never cleaned. We wiped every light switch, door knob, & kitchen drawer in the house. Many plates, cooking bowls, & silverware were dirty inside the cabinet or drawer. Previous renter just put the dirty dishes back in the cabinets. We ended up washing every dish & utensil in the dish washer. We had an ant problem too. Had to use ant spray in one bedroom, the kitchen, living room,& the downstairs laundry room. Thank upstairs bedroom had a problem with the air conditioner. It would not drain the water reserve properly. My husband had to push the unit into the bathroom twice a day to empty the reservoir. We called the listing agent about this. Maintenance didn't come out to the rental for 3 days to fix the issue.FYI: the downstairs bedroom doesn't have AC

Hi Michelle, We are disappointed to hear of these items following your trip. We would have been happy to send a cleaner to the property immediately upon your arrival, if we had known the house was not cleaned properly. This house only has a key code, which can be shared by all members of your group, there would be no need for a lockbox code as the home does not use a physical key. We pride ourselves on quick resolution for all issues including maintenance. Our office text line is monitored by live staff members 24 hours a day. Had we known of your concerns we would have not hesitated to visit and fix them. Please feel free to follow us to discuss!

Perfect retreat

This is our second year renting *67 Pepper Bush Trail. We love being near the lake and also 20 minutes from Scarborough Beach. A beautiful new deck was added this year. That was nice to sit on in the evening with a book on glass of wine. I’ve already recommended it to a friend who has interest for a future rental.
