About this property
Private Lakehouse with Great Swimming and Epic Sunset Views
Finlay`s Cove is a beautifully & historically restored 4-bedroom, 2-bath lakefront cabin that blends the timeless charm of it`s 1940`s roots with modern living. It was completely rebuilt and expanded in 2018 & enjoys an unbeatable waterfront setting with spectacular western views over Lake Champlain.
The renovation transformed the original cabin into a 2-bedroom Main House with an added `Overlook,` that includes 2 huge bedrooms with windows on 3 sides of each room and spectacular elevated lake views. The Overlook features queen bedrooms, a coffee bar, private deck, and a bathroom with a clawfoot tub and shower. The Overlook is connected via secure and covered set of switchback stairs that open into the hallway of the Main House.
The Main House offers a queen primary bedroom with a private terrace, a bunk room, a fully equipped kitchen with island gas stove, electric oven, a farmhouse sink, oversized refrigerator, and everything needed for family meals. The living room features Stickley leather furnishings, a Vermont Castings wood stove, and an expansive collection of challenging board games. Fourteen large windows surround the living area, filling the home with light and cool lake breezes. A slate rain room shower completes the downstairs bath.
The heart of Finlay`s Cove is the screened porch overlooking the lake. It`s where guests gather for meals, games, and unforgettable sunsets.
Finlay`s private cove offers exceptional swimming from the floating dock with deep, clear water. Guests are welcome to bring a boat or enjoy the two kayaks and two paddleboards provided. Braeloch also offers a tennis court with pickleball lines and a half basketball court.
This is a seasonal home. Heating is limited to the wood stove and bedroom space heaters. For larger groups, our nearby Treetop Yurt (available separately) adds a king bed, composting outhouse, and open-air rain shower, increasing occupancy to 10 guests.

Vermont is so beautiful , and this place is really what is all about. Quiet place . Close from everything at the same time. Everyone in the family enjoyed it. We had some minor issues that was addressed quickly by the host. Check-in was really easy, communication clear and fast. Excellent stay.
My husband, kiddo and I had such a wonderful time in this lakehouse in Vermont. It was just like "On Golden Pond." We especially loved all the board games available in the home - what a treat to spend the evenings together laughing over a game!
This charming cabin in the woods had all the modern amenities you hoped for and away from TV's. The place had games, puzzles and outdoor gear to keep my children happy and mostly off their screens. I even saw them playing battleship with the lanterns on the covered porch- What a great memory! The downstairs shower was hot, clean and easy to use. The upstairs bathroom wasn't really pumping out hot water but it wasn't too big of an issue to go downstairs to the other shower. Beds were awesome, clean, soft and cozy! I would absolutely come back here!
