Economical mobile home, located in a beautiful, remote, mountain setting. The home was close to the SNP’s hiking trails, just down the road a piece. The ranger at the entrance to the trail was very helpful, giving us directions to the nearest park entrance. Get to the park early during the fall leaf season. It is a very popular park in late October.

This mountain home was perfect for a weekend away with a friend. It had all of the amenities that we needed. The setting is beautiful, a nice getaway from the city. The host Bill was very communicative and accommodating. We would definitely return.

This is a cozy cabin at the far end of Weakly Hollow, just before the end of the road and White Oak Canyon and Old Rag trailheads. We enjoyed the fire pit and the well-appointed kitchen. In addition to the trails, there are some cute general stores nearby, and charming Sperryville a few miles away, which was having its annual Sperryfest while we were there. The host, Bill, was friendly and reliable. All in all, a lovely weekend.

The property had everything you needed. Location was amazing. It’s an old trailer, but if you’re looking for a quiet, rustic getaway this is the place. We enjoyed it.

We had a very nice stay at the cabin! Very cozy and furnished with everything you need. We walked right down the road to the White oak Canyon Trail and drove only about 25 minutes to hike Old Rag. Everything was fairly clean aside from many ladybugs (we probably saw 50-80 during our stay) throughout the home especially in the living room. The fire pit was very nice and wifi worked well! Bill was responsive to my messages and very helpful with information about the cabin and area. Overall a good trip and would recommend!

Thanks Emily for your review! The brown ladybugs have come out in force with the weather warming up. They are very prolific in the mountains and hard to keep out. Glad you enjoyed your trip!

Excellent hiking base

We loved staying here as the perfect base for our Old Rag hike as well as White Oak Canyon (which is SO close!). Surrounded by woods, we heard so many birds and saw lots of stars in the evening. It was just what we needed.

Can’t Beat The Location

Immediately adjacent to multiple trailheads; this quaint property is the best. The property manager was great to communicate with - tips ahead of time, all of the info we needed to have an easy arrival and check-in, and the property had lots of little touches (local hiking maps and info; restaurant recommendations, and appropriate kitchen/cooking items) to make our stay great. Would absolutely stay here again.

This was absolutely the perfect place for a getaway in the Shenandoah! Great location for hiking White Oak Canyon, Old Rag, or just to play in the creeks and rivers nearby! The property was beautiful, clean, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay (just bring food and movies!). Parking and check in were easy. The firepit and grill were a lot of fun to use and I got some spectacular moon shots through my telescope. Being disconnected from the demands of the online world was such a peaceful break and so necessary. Bill was very helpful and responsive whenever I messaged him for anything, thank you very again for booking my stay when I couldn’t book it on any platforms. 10/10 host, property, location, vacation. I would love to come back one day, it was perfect! For any prospective bookers, remember, you are in the woods. You are in the home of the creatures that live in the forest and you are visiting. Just enjoy it and make some new tiny friends and get over your own ridiculous fears of little creatures lol. The few moths that got into the house were easy to remove with a cup or your hand and fun to identify. Download Inaturalist and discover the beauty of who lives around you.

The property was perfect for my four year old son and my stay. We were able to easily walk to the white oak canyon trailhead which was our goal. The house had everything we needed for our stay. Nothing fancy, just country living. We went out to eat at Graves mountain lodge as well as the Bavarian Chef, and recommend both of them.
