It was what we needed. We didn’t stay here much, just slept here. Indoor/outdoor furniture for living room, but comfortable. Ants were a problem in kitchen and bathroom. Limited kitchen utensils, but we made do with what they had.
The family enjoyed our time at the house. It had plenty of supplies, kitchen needs, and bedding.
On a side note, we ate at Triple E BBQ. Our whole group did not like the food.
The host was very friendly and helpful. She has really put effort into the property. There was plenty of room for my three friends and me during our stay. Water pressure was good and it was nice to sit at the dining room table to play cards at night. The air conditioner worked well, and it was nice to have the ceiling fans. The neighbor’s two dogs were outside when we pulled up. They were extremely friendly, and we are dog people, so it didn’t bother us. Overall nice experience.

Long weekend vacation
So selected this cabin due to the close proximity of other family cabin on the same street. Really only just use the cabin to shower and sleep due to the rest of the family in the nearby cabin . Overall state of this cabin is exactly like the photos . Place is clean, hot and cold water ,beds were comfortable. There was a musty smell inside the house during the time we were there. Good communication leading to day of stay but had no response when querying about how to enter the cabin on the day . We turned up and front door was unlocked.
Anyway, the cabin did our purpose and will use again in future(unless I can find a cheaper place on the same street).
Our stay at sailor's hideaway was amazing. We stayed from May 10th through May 15th 2024. The property is situated on a 2 lot corner lot with a frontdeck. Porch has a barbecue and a nice table to sit at to watch the sunset and sunrise. Birds were seeing we saw multiple. Dear mother, dear and not very many books. The property was not really decorated outside but again. They had some bad weather and flowers are just now. Starting to Bloom. The inside is decorated in a rustic beautiful relaxing beach theme, with sandy tone. I was amaZed with the very soft feeling floors. They were almost like cushions, and after a hard long day at S.I.U. Graduation that floor felt amazing. One bathroom did have a slight ant problem, but due to the weather, we understood. So, if you cannot handle bugs, then you might want to stop and pick up some bug spray for ants before you go in May. This property and the host has provided everything you would need for a long week plus stay! The only thing I did not find that I needed was some fingernail clippers!! We truly enjoyed everything about this property and look forward to staying here again! Vickie was a perfect host. Left us aline, neighbors were quiet, check in was simple and easy! A+++ 10 stars minus a couple anrs and cicadas haha.
