Breathtaking panoramic lake views on deep water!

Our Lake Hartwell custom built home is located in a gated private 3 home community with a park like setting that is truly spectacular. Upon arriving at 'Heartwell Heaven', you will notice an beautiful custom craftsman style home with lake views for miles, a gentle slope to the water and a gorgeous park like setting where kids can run and play. The flat front yard is a great place where families can play volleyball, badminton or corn hole while others can relax on the rocking chair front porch with a cold drink.

Another favorite thing about our property is that it is less than 7 minutes off I-85 which makes it so convenient. For college fans, you can get to Clemson in 30 minutes and UGA in 45 minutes. Our priority when building our home was to have an upscale home with all of the niceties, have deep water and amazing view, and be less than 2 hours from Atlanta, GA one way, and Greenville, SC the other.

Our dock is situated on deep water year round so put on your suits and jump right off. Though we are situated on deep water, we are also near a cove so the high speed boats are never an issue. We just got a brand new large boat dock with 2 slips. Our Malibu boat is on a lift in one slip and our 24' pontoon in the second slip (available for rent), but you are welcome to tie up your personal boat on the side of the dock. There is plenty of space. We have 2 kayaks, a Lilly pad, a large tube, ropes, some water floats, water ski's, a wakeboard and much more. Bring your sunscreen and fishing gear for a full lake experience.

As you enter the front door you will be greeted with spectacular views of Lake Hartwell from the entire main level. The home has many extra amenities for your comfort such as granite countertops, upscale appliances including a food warmer, 2 refrigerators, a full sized washer and dryer, a floor heater in the master bathroom, a beautiful wood burning stone fireplace and much more. The kitchen hosts a farm table which comfortably seats 8 people with 4 bar stools around the kitchen island. Walk from the dining area to our covered porch where you can relax on comfy patio furniture and rocking chairs while enjoying our traeger grill and a picnic table for outside entertaining.

There are two Master bedrooms with king beds and private bathrooms.
The main floor master bedroom (#1) has its own bath with a luxurious oversized shower, garden tub, double vanity, and floor heater. The upstairs master bedroom (#2) has a king bed and en suite with tub/shower combo, tile floors, and single vanity. The other three upstairs bedrooms share a Jack-n-Jill bath with a tub/shower and a large vanity.
Bedroom (#3): 2 twin beds and 1 set of bunkbeds, game and TV nook. Bedroom (#4): King bedroom suite Bedroom (#5): 2 queen beds, sitting area and floor space for an air mattress if needed. We do have a queen and twin air mattress on site if additional beds are needed.

Amazing View

Everything was absolutely perfect. I’ve stayed at many places and would have to say this place is at the top of my list. One thing that really stood out was how comfortable the beds were. Additionally, the family room with the kitchen was great for family time. I would recommend this place to anyone. We had a perfect experience.

Incredible home with excellent view

Lana was very helpful and super easy to communicate with. The home was beautiful and had everything we needed and much more! Family Vacation

Amazing Family Trip

We spent a long weekend here and it was amazing. The house was clean and had everything we could possible think of available. The beds were comfortable and there were plenty of them. The location of the property is also very nice. It is on deep water but at the mouth of a cove so you can see all the boating activity but they aren't coming in from of the dock. Lana is an amazing host. She was very responsive and generous. We also rented the pontoon boat they have available and that was a great decision! I recommend others take that option if available.

Amazing and Memorable Family Vacation

We stayed at this beautiful house with our best friends and 6 kids! The house was immaculate and very family friendly. The view of the lake with our morning coffee was perfect. Perfect for us!

Everything was great from booking to check out. The house worked perfectly for our 24 hour staff retreat. Kitchen was fully stocked for us to prepare meals. The open living, kitchen, and dinning space worked great for comfortable meeting time. Beds were comfy and views were beautiful! Owner was great to work with answering all of our questions promptly before our arrival. A great place to bring a couple of families to enjoy some laid back lake living for a few days!

Wonderful lake trip

Amazing home! Very well appointed! Beautiful view! Easy access to Harbor Light Marina and tiki bar. Amazing Dock with fans and a Lilly Pad! Fully stocked kitchen with all the amenities you would expect at home. Last but not least, all the lake toys a kid could ask for! Would 100% stay again. Heart Well Home

The home was as advertised in every aspect! We loved the fantastic view of the lake. The owner was very prompt in responding to questions, we received very detailed instructions in advance of our stay. We recommend golf at Arrowhead Pointe and Hartwell Golf Club. Both places had very hospitable people and great courses for a winter weekend in the South! Thanks for sharing such a beautiful home!

Awesome Spot

We had a fantastic stay. The location is very convenient to Atlanta and a short drive from the highway. The home was large and clean and had high quality furnishings. Dock was very nice and seemed new with composite decking and had a Lily Pad float. Plenty of space for kids to run around in the grass in both the front and back yards. Indoor activities like the ping pong table in the basement were great to have when it was raining. Owner had great communication and instructions. Definitely would stay again.

Perfection! The Best View Ever!

If you are looking for the perfect lake house rental - You just found it! We have rented for many years on Lake Hartwell and this home is so beautiful! The view is amazing! Quiet neighborhood and easy walk to the dock! You could not ask for more! Brand new home with We had a wonderful time! I have so much appreciation and respect for lovely home. I have finally found the perfect spot on the lake! You can enjoy the lake without all the boat traffic. I cannot wait to visit again! I highly recommend renting the boat! So nice to go for a relaxing boat ride every evening!

Lovely getaway

We have a group of 9 that includes 4 seniors, 1 adult with disabilities, 2 adults, and 2 kids under 8. We found the property to be wonderful. The gentle slope to the dock allowed everyone to access, and the game room and spacious main room was perfect for big dinners and movies. We also loved the back porch and ate many meals out there with thankfully NO mosquitos! We rented a pontoon at Harbor Light Marina and so appreciated the raft that was at the house to use. Boating was a highlight! The beds were also very comfortable and plenty of private bathrooms for our 3 separate groups. Kids loved the loft. Thanks for an amazing stay and we will be in touch next spring!!

Great Lake Hartwell Vacation Home

If you're looking for a house right on Lake Hartwell you'll love this place. While the pictures show great views, they are nothing compared to actually being there! The location is perfect, not too far off of 85 which for us, towing a boat there, was great. There is Rocky Ford Boat Ramp less than a mile away to launch and it's a 5 minute boat ride to the dock for the house. And there is plenty of room to park the boat trailer at the house. The house is very well laid our and furnished, with plenty of room for everyone (we had 8 people there). It's very well stocked with just about everything you'll need for the week (or however long you're staying). Dealing with Lana was very easy, she is very responsive to any questions you may have during your stay. If you rent this place you'll be pretty sad on departure day because you'll want to stay longer!!!

Perfect place for our growing family

We and our grown kids and partners make 10 adults, 2 kids, 2 infants. All had a fantastic time in this beautiful home! The bedrooms gave each family their own room. The kitchen had all we needed for cooking and dining in….we even found the marshmallow skewers! Outdoors, we rented a pontoon from Harbor Light Marina - very convenient. We used the tube provided to pull the kids. We also swam and floated off the dock. We played ping pong, corn hole, and enjoyed down time in the basement while the babies slept. Plenty of room for the 5 cars arriving from all directions. Lana was responsive and gave great info on the house. Based on the guide, we picked up trash bags at the dump in advance, so trash drop was easy. We would definitely rent again. This is a GREAT family home!

beautiful, well equipped house with a great view of the lake

my extended family group rented this house for a long weekend together. loved the layout - especially the kitchen/dining/living area, which looks out onto the lake. and a beautiful sunrise view from the deck! we found everything was as described in the listing, extensive selection of pots and kitchen utensils, very comfortable beds. detailed directions and house information from owners, very easy instructions to access property and house. after looking through reviews we rented a pontoon boat one day from the nearby marina - such a good suggestion and so much fun. great lake access from the house, and a nice dock with plenty of chairs and lounges. saw several complaints about having to take out trash but this was not a problem for us as the trash drop is very close to the house - you actually pass is on the way in from the interstate. We had a wonderful time at this beautiful and well-equipped house, and would not hesitate to recommend or stay again.

Lovely home

We had a great time. My 11 year old grandson made sure we played with everything in the basement. Saturday it was the ping pong table and the floats. Sunday the floats and kayaks came out. We rented a pontoon boat for three days so the big tube was a real hit Monday thru Wednesday. We fished in the evenings. Then the badmitton net was set up and corn hole game came out. We actually held a corn hole tournament on Friday evening. The 11 year old and his partner won. The house was very confortable and had everything we needed. We grandparents stayed on the main floor. The kitchen was big enough that we could all help with meals. Lana was very prompt and helpfull with a few minor questions we had. We were surprised at how quiet the lake traffic was. We had no problem with loud fast boats buzzing by.

Great location! Great property!

We had a great time at Lake Hartwell. This home is very large and there is plenty of room for multiple families. We loved waking up and looking out on the lake every morning. The house is fully stocked (especially the kitchen) and has almost every appliance you could ask for. We love the large pantry area so we didn't have to look at all of the grocery items we brought. There are two fridges to keep extra drinks in. We also appreciated being able to do daily laundry. The main floor is huge. We had enough room for our families to eat ,watch the Olympics. do a puzzle and play board games. The marina is right around the corner ; very convenient (we rented a pontoon boat twice). We spent our days on the lake and really enjoyed the lack of boat traffic. The dock needs a little TLC (some screws were raised on the decking; some boards need replacing). We also didn't enjoy having to remove trash from the property- this was tough since we left on a day the dump was closed and we live 10 hours away. The kids loved the yard, and we enjoyed our morning walks around the neighborhood. The beds were very comfortable and we definitely got a good nights rest. Lana was very prompt responding to any questions we had. We had a great week.

Camp Wertz is wonderful

We spent a week in early March at "Camp Wertz" and it was wonderful. The four bedrooms matched our needs perfectly with the master suite on the first floor for us and the three bdrms up for our two sons' families. All of the bedrooms are very nice sizes---the 'kids room' with bunk beds has plenty of room and the adult bdrms provide two king & one queen and plenty of bathroom space for everyone. The lighting in the first floor master bathroom is subdued, so bring along a lighted mirror if you need more careful grooming. The kitchen & great room have ample seating and eating area; as does the covered deck. The basement is unfinished but has a ping-pong table and plenty of run around room; plus there is a corn-hole set that we didn't use and I only saw some very small bean bags (not the usual size). The house has its own dock, so there is direct access to the lake. The house is at the top of a cove that flows into the Tugaloo river channel, so it is fairly secluded. The two houses to the right are also very nice; the house to the left is much older & a bit run down. The properties in this area of the lake are what I call 'rural eclectic'--you can have $400k+ houses like this one next to older, fishing cottages and run-down trailers. I think the house was built in 2008 and all the appliances are modern; the first floor is finished in a rustic/camp style (knotty pine floors; long dining table with bench seating) -- perfect for a vacation on the lake. The owners obviously take pride in their lake house and use it often, so it is much akin to staying at a friend's house and definitely not a semi-commercial, under maintained VRBO. Their directions and house instructions were specific and clear, and they responded promptly to the one question we had. The only short of perfect items are the worn couch & chairs in the great room, the dim lighting in the master bath, and relatively weak/slow wi-fi service (which is probably due to the service to the property more than the router in the first floor bdrm), but all of the other attributes of the house and property more than justify a five-star rating for a lake house where you are getting a whole lot for your rental dollar. The location is about 15 mins from the city of Hartwell; which has a newer Ingles store with all the items you'd expect for a contemporary food store---deli, good selection in produce and all the other items you might buy at home. The IGA store in Lavonia is more limited.

Our lake home is wonderful for kids. Our girls like to have bonfires, take nature walks, pick wild blackberries, play volleyball and badminton, boat, swim, wake surf, waterski, sunbath, etc. Nights at the lake are our favorite time when we cook dinner, sit on the porches and enjoy the star lit sky.

For those with older guests or small children, the walk to the water is short and gentle without woods to meander through. There is a master on the main with a king bed and on-suite bathroom.

Why they chose this property

We chose to buy this property when we saw the land come on the market in 2008. This was the best lake lot we had ever seen (still is). We spent 6 months working on the plan and built our dream lake home on the property. We knew the area well and loved the convenience to the property but also to grocery stores and restaurants. We also have a boat ramp on our property for your convenience, plus a marina with gas near our home.

What makes this property unique

We love getting to the house the first night, unpacking and going to the front or back porch and just looking at the view! We also like going to Lavonia which is 10 minutes away to get doughnuts on Saturday morning and walk through the small shops and antique stores. We also buy local produce at the farmer's market on the square.
