The property is as pictured. No surprises other than the driveway. Once you get to the top, you will have to do a three point turn multiple times to get out or back out down a very steep driveway. You have been warned! The host had k-cups which were fabulous and everything else was great! The bed was a little hard but worked fine.

Thank you so much for staying with us and for the kind words! We're glad the place was just as pictured and that the K-cups were a hit. You're right about the driveway. It's part of mountain living, and we appreciate you flagging it for future guests so they know to take it slow and allow for a turn or two at the top. Thanks also for the feedback on the bed; we'll keep it in mind. We'd love to have you back anytime!
The cottage was located in a great and quiet area of Blowing Rock. Many great hiking trails in the area and close to shops and restaurants. The cottage was perfect for us but space is limited. I would definitely recommend staying here if you are looking for a quiet place to relax.
It was lovely, charming and peaceful, with everything you’d need! I loved the hot tub and the view (which my pup also enjoyed). The bed was super comfy and it was great to have a washer and dryer. Would recommend to anyone.
The house was perfect for our couples weekend. My husband and I enjoyed our stay. The place was clean and dog friendly. Plenty of room for our dog to explore outside.
We had a little glitch with the check in, but eventually it was resolved very well. Everything was great! Clean, cute and just as described. Great location.
The cottage was exactly what we needed! It was two adults and two dogs. Perfect for a quick night away. The property had plenty of space for the dogs to run and was very quiet yet we were close to both Blowing Rock and Boone. We would definitely come back!
Quiet, beautiful grounds and dog friendly. Check-in was so simple. You pull up and inside right away.Very close to downtown BR and Tootsie railroad and a quick ride to Boone. Can't forget all the other close attractions. Can't wait to return, will be our 3rd visit
My husband and I stayed at Clementine for a weekend getaway with our pups. The dogs loved to explore the large property available. The location of the cottage was excellent, about 8 mins to downtown blowing rock and 10 minutes to Boone. The cottage was clean and very cute. We had an amazing time and would love to come back!!
The space was adorable and all we could have asked for. Inside it was comfortable and felt like home. The porch, hot tub and property made it an even better experience. It was perfect for my dog to be able to play and feel relaxed inside.
The driveway wouldn’t be great for someone without AWD.
We had a great stay at this precious cottage. We went to Tweetsie Railroad for the day and this house was in a perfect location (5 min away). We had our 2 year old and 11 month old. We had enough room to set up the pack and play for the baby and we squeezed our toddler in the bed with us. The yard was perfect for us to play ball with our toddler. We loved this property and we plan to come back for a stay!
Overall, we enjoyed our stay at Clementine. It was quaint and quiet..and very close to our daughter’s house in Boone. It was the perfect size for us, as well, and was located on such beautiful property. Just like with anything, however, there were a couple of issues with our stay. Upon our arrival, the linens on the bed were sprinkled with a lil dog hair, and there were other sheets and towels left in the dryer (still damp). We ran out of a few household goods on our first night, and had to replace them all (toilet paper, laundry detergent, dish pods, etc). The rugs in the bedroom smelled “sour”, as if they had sat in the washing machine too long. And there were only 5 lit lightbulbs on the strand of outside string lights…the rest were burnt out. The house basically just needs a little TLC. Thank you for having us!
Husband and I needed a break from life. We couldn’t stay long because of work and busy kids. However we didn’t want our 26th anniversary to slip by unnoticed. The property was just what needed peace and solitude. We got in the hot tub, sat by the pond and had coffee on the front porch. The perfect ways to just be together. The cottage was clean and had everything we needed. Host was gracious and answered all of our questions. Would definitely stay again another time. Thank you!
We were never able to get into the rental. Digital door code did not work. Tried contacting Host without timely response.Drove 3 hours back home with no resolution. Don't know if rental was nice or not.Drive up to rental on property roads were somewhat treacherous. Don't try it in bad weather. VRBO was great in their response to our issue with this rental.
We stayed at the Clementine cottage during fall move-in week for App State. At the cottage, we were away from the hustle and bustle of all the downtown crowds but within a quick 10 minute drive back to campus area to meet our son, help with the move, or grab a quick bite. We were also close to Blowing Rock which is one of our favorite places to visit in the mountains. The house is close to everything but you also get to enjoy the peace and quiet of the "farm" setting. Our dogs enjoyed daily walks through the woods and a couple swims in the pond. We saw lots of wildlife and a family of deer visited almost every day. The house was comfortable and had all the necessities. We would definitely stay there again on our next visit to Boone.
Perfect getaway for a couple (and small pups!)This was the perfect mountain escape for us. The front yard offers beautiful deer sightings and peaceful nature views, and the location is unbeatable—just about 5 minutes from Blowing Rock, Boone, Tweetsie Railroad, the outlets, and the mall.If you’re in town, don’t miss Town Tavern and Bistro Roca, and make sure to stop by Kilwins in downtown Blowing Rock for a late-night treat. The outdoor space beside the home is flat and ideal for pets to roam, which was a huge plus for us. The photos are completely accurate—everything looks exactly as pictured. Another great perk was the fast, reliable WiFi.The owner was friendly, quick to respond, and communicated clearly throughout our stay.Winter note: If you’re visiting during colder months, an SUV is highly recommended. We managed without one, but if we had stayed just one more day with incoming weather, we likely would have gotten stuck. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to couples looking for a peaceful, pet-friendly mountain retreat.
The cottage smelled of dog the instant we walked in. The sheets and towels smelled like they had already been used and there was urine and specks of feces in the toilet. We wondered if the most important place to clean when people were coming over, the toilet, wasn’t clean, did anything get cleaned. That made us leave and not stay the night. The location was beautiful but the path to the pond was covered with dog feces. There should have been something to help remind dog owners to pick up after their pet. We would have.
