This place is perfectly located in a very fun area of SGDP. The apartment is perfect for 2 people and has everything you would need. Very clean. Comfy bed. A stunning view from the roof. I highly recommend this place!
This apartment had everything we were looking for, ac, laundry, a king sized bed and location. The bonus was the view of the Eiffel Tower from the terrace. The place is also so close to a market. To be warned, you do get the noise from the restaurant located below the apartment, but it wasn’t anything that would keep us from another stay!
This is the most beautiful apartment with a great view in a perfect neighborhood. We went here with our kids and street noise was no issue at all. Quite perfect.
Lovely rooftop apt smack dab in the middle of the very vibrant St Germain district. Restaurants, shops, metro access close by. Easy walking distance to the river and many of the major monuments and museums. Apt is a nice lofty architectural rendering of the Housmann under mansard roof area with a short climb up a stairway after the elevator. Sunny with three big windows. The rooftop deck is fabulous with many great views, including the Tour Eiffel, St Sulpice and Eglise St Germain. It was very cold while we were there, but we anticipated and brought our sleeping bags so we could hang outside on the deck in winter. The apt heating unit is more than sufficient to heat the place in winter. The building is very quiet: we felt like we were the only occupants. Elizabeth, the host representative, was very gracious and accommodating. The renovated bathroom was totally functional, with a great shower. We felt like we had our own secret place, even though the Bar Marche on the street below was always hopping into the late hours. Restaurants nearby: Fish, Hughlette, Le Relais de l'Entrecôte, Les Deux Magots, Cafe Flore, Suelement Sea, Boutary as well as many bistros and cafes. Highly recommended two- person base camp for two weeks in Paris!
Very old microwave/oven not useable, but new microwave only delivered in hours. Staff response excellent. After the elevator, winding staircase required to get up to the apartment. Should be mentioned as 80 years olds like me with steel replacement knees had some small difficulty with the steps. Air conditioning and all other appliances all worked well. Weekly cleaning excellent.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in St Germaine. The location was perfect! You could just about walk to all of the must see sites, explore the wonderful Left Bank and live above one of the liveliest streets. We were on the top floor so street noise was at a minimum. Everything was very clean and the rooftop terrace was the best.
Clean and bright apartment with an excellent rooftop deck. The apartment is small but has efficient use of space, the air conditioning worked very well. The bathroom and shower are great, as is the clothes washer. Outstanding location - very vibrant area with lots of options for places to go for restaurants and drinks. Centrally located for many of the Paris attractions. This VRBO worked well for three single individuals as long as you stay organized. Elevator is very tiny but works well. Written instructions on how to use the stove would be helpful, they were very responsive to our inquiry. Great experience – would recommend.
Our stay was amazing! Francois was a very gracious host, and our site contacts were wonderful. The best part about this listing is its location! You are right in the heart of a safe neighborhood, bustling with activity, and walkable to all the cafes and restaurants you could desire. Also easily walkable to Notre Dame and Luxembourg Garden as well as transit centers that can get you on the Metro and RER. You can get anywhere from this place!
This was an excellent property, with a few notable points to criticize. We had a last-minute change in the person who checked us in. She was nice, but not able to clearly point out how to run the laundry. The dishwasher was broken, but we washed ours in the sink. Very comfy bed, great shower, and the rooftop terrace was delightful with stunning nightime views. The evenings get noisy because the cafes down at street level go late, and people are having way too much fun!
This vrbo was located in a nice area, w plenty of things to do, eat and metro within walking distance.
There was a lift, however there are stairs prior to the lift and the. winding stairs to the apt. I would suggest that there are more written instructions in English to use the coffee machine, washer/dryer combo, and extra paper supplies. The dishwasher did not work and the bathroom light flickered when on, also the wall light to the balcony did not work. All was reported to management but the person mtg the client should have checked all this before arrival
Also we thought for a one bedroom studio there was a bit too much furniture in the living room area.. just our thoughts .. it was a lovely place otherwise and we enjoyed our stay .. definitely would recommend
While a studio, the white walls & efficient layout made the space appear larger. The BR area/apt. in general has a surprising amt. of closet/storage space! We also found it to be well equipped suppliesappliances-wise (which we made full use of). For me (and my husband), the biggest positives were: 1) the private rooftop, where we enjoyed Sunday Brunch, relaxing on nice days with a glass of wine, and watching the lighted Eiffel Tower at night...esp. as it sparkles on the hr. at 10 PM/later. We also enjoyed fireworks from the rooftop when Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) WON the Champions League final against Inter Milan. 2) Saint-Germain-des-Prés itself...all the shops, restaurants & cafesit's walkability; e.g., a nice & easy walk to the exquisite Jardin du Luxembourg. The biggest negative for us: Even in understanding challenges in renovating a 17th century bldg., what Francois had described to me as "having to climb a few steps from street level to the elevator"...in actuality were 20 stairs to the elevator. We traveled in Europe for 3 wks. & each of our bags was HEAVY. Thankfully our son lives in Paris...and he handled the luggage; both when we arrived & when we left. :-) Lastly, we generally were out & about and we both readily fell asleep at bedtime. However, voices from the BUSY! Bar next door are audible at night. The BR is most ideal for sound sleepers like us. We loved the area, as well as the apt. itself...and, happily, my husband & I enjoyed only "sweet dreams!" - ALOHA!
