Quick trip to Greek Peak ski resort. You are close to all activities that the universities, Ithaca and the Finger Lakes region offer, and yet you can still enjoy bucolic views of wildflower meadows from the expansive deck (12 x 32 ft.). Well-appointed, sun-filled 3 bedrooms with 3 queen beds, 2 full baths, lovely hickory hardwood floors & spacious updated kitchen with granite countertops, stainless steel appliances and maple cabinets. 3 min. to excellent wine store, seasonal farmer’s market, grocery store, the best Ithaca coffeehouse (freshly baked bagels and music), gym, antique store, Chinese food, & other amenities. 10 minutes to the downtown Commons shopping district in Ithaca. Enjoy exploring 3 historic Barns!

Many neighbors are Cornell and Ithaca College affiliated faculty and staff and there is sense of community and connectedness here.

The home is located in the Ithaca City School District and is in immaculate, move in condition. Large level yards in the front and back with colorful native plantings are perfect for playing or gardening. If you like to garden, your creative ideas are welcome. Watch the swallows, red-winged blackbirds, pileated woodpeckers and raptors and listen to the spring peepers and hooting owls when you sit outside. The stars of the Milky Way enliven the night overhead and in summer the meadows are full of fireflies.

The primary bedroom has an full bathroom and an ample closet. Two bedrooms upstairs, each with a queen bed, have generous closets and sitting areas. One bedroom is furnished with a desk where you can work and enjoy a great view. Dressing table and bench in nook.

Spacious living room with book cabinet. Dining room accommodates 6 at the table; there is kitchen island seating as well. Washer and dryer are conveniently located on the second level.

There is a full walk-out basement with two large windows which you could use as a giant home office, recreation room, art studio or a teen hangout zone. Designated area for coats and sundries at the west entry. If you need storage as you transition to Ithaca, there is plenty of space to store household goods and furniture.

You can bike to Cornell if you seek a good workout. Many Ithaca biking and running clubs choose Snyder Hill Road for their rides. Public buses are available at Ellis Hollow Rd or west on Snyder. Walk/Bike into Ithaca on the East Hill Recreational Trail (a 30 mile long regional Rail Trail which extends all the way west to Taughannock State Park and east to Groton). Enjoy wineries, botanical garden, Cornell Ornithology Sapsucker Woods, Johnson Museum, campus lectures all nearby.

Less than one mile away, the Ellis Hollow Community Center provides a wonderful preschool, a seasonal pool perfect for families and music for the community on Tuesday nights all summer long called “Music in the Hollow”. The Ellis Hollow Preserve is a nearby hiking destination just two miles away.

This property is part of the historic farmstead of the Snyder family, who established their farm in 1802, built a church, a school and social hall for young people and who are the namesakes of Snyder Hill Road.

Wonderful property & host
Great visit to Ithaca. Came for Cornell hockey and property was spacious for our needs and only minutes to the university and amenities yet in a quiet neighborhood. Host was welcoming and very responsive to any questions.
