Our stay was pleasantly memorable. The location below a charming resort was convenient and loads of fun. We walked up to the Eagle and the Owl for an excellent dining experience. The spacious restaurant has a full size pool table, and other table games. There's an outdoor firepit with plenty of seating. The Chateau's bedrooms are thoughtfully decorated. The beds were quite comfortable. We greatly enjoyed the picture window view in the Master bedroom. It overlooks a peaceful pond on the golf course. The kitchen is fully equipped. This morning I enjoyed my tea on the front veranda, sitting on a wrought iron cafe chair. The cool mountain air and splendid view was a perfect farewell ending.

Super close to Liberty and walkable (if you're very careful; main road is busy and sidewalk is on other side of it from house). Comfortable, clean, with plenty of room. Mattresses were not old, soft, and saggy, which alone deserves 5 stars! Host was a great communicator and was very understanding when we needed a little more time to get out on our check-out day because we had a bunch of snow and ice the day before. Would definitely stay there again.

Perfect place for skiing at Liberty!

We really enjoyed staying here. It was 2 families (4 adults and 3 kids) and we never felt crowded. Not to mention how convenient it was to get to Liberty from the house. We would definitely stay here again.

Nice small town setting close to Gettysburg

We stayed here while exploring Gettysburg. It was a short drive to Gettysbury but away from the tourist section. Nice sunroom and pictures of property were accurate. There was a nice local restaurant in walking distance. I would not hesitate to stay here if I returned to the area.

Hello, my family purchased this property in 2013 and totally re-modeled every room. We knew it was so special and the location at the slopes & greens made it a winner. We are 3 Generations Realtors and home designers- Taking great pride decorating each room with a theme in mind and making them special for our guests. We also have a local family Real Estate Office. Let us help you while in the area find a vacation home of your own. We aim to please our clients and we want you to return after a relaxing stay at our 'Chateau Below'' If this home is booked, we also have homes at "Lake Estate" and "Tall Haven" also here in Fairfield Pa.

Why they chose this property

Location, Location, Location, below The Slopes Of Liberty Mt Ski Resort was the reason we bought this home. The house has all new wide wood floors, new carpet and paint. A cooper kitchen sink, back splash and cabinet pulls makes our kitchen unique. The home offers wood beams, high ceilings and real stonework. Stone flower gardens surround the entire home

What makes this property unique

Directly below Liberty Mountain Ski Resort & Wedding Venue and beside Carroll Valley Golf Course- we are your perfect location for skiing, boarding, ice skating, wedding guests, golfers, and so much more!
