* Check-in: After 3 PM
* Check-out: Before 10 AM
* Rental agreement and ID verification are required.
* Pet Policy: Pets must be reported prior to arrival. $50/pet per stay (max 2 dogs). Unreported pets will incur a $150 fee.
* Starter Set of Supplies: We provide an initial supply of toilet paper and paper towels. Guests are responsible for replenishing as needed.

The cabin had everything we needed! It was cozy and clean. I loved all the Illinois-themed decor and little touches. We did not have our kids with us but we would love to come back in the summer and bring our kiddos! The loft area was cute and I know they would love the hot tub and fire pit area.

Needed a relaxing getaway, this cabin was perfect. Close enough to food and a few shops but far enough from city chaos. Cabin was very clean. HotTub was amazing. We have stayed at one of the other cabins in this group but this one was our fave.

Cozy cabin

We had a short stay to do a day of hiking. The cabin was easy to find and so cute! The decor was perfect and it was so clean! The place looked brand new. It has just about anything you would need. The hot tub was so nice after a long day of hiking. Overall it was super comfortable and relaxing. I only wish we could have stayed longer to explore more of the forest and hike more trails. We will be back for sure!!! I should also mention Allison was our host and did an amazing job making sure everything was perfect.

Girlfriend reunion

It was a midway meeting point for a 20 year friendship driving from Peoria IL, Bourbonnais IL and Lexington KY. The cabin was a dream. It is decorated beautifully and had everything we needed. We enjoyed the hot tub and the rockers on front porch with hours of conversation and card games. We ventured into town only once to do some antique/thrift shopping. We realized our time was better in the woods so shopping was cut short! We can’t wait to go back! Each morning we had a visit from the prettiest bird!

Perfect cozy cabin for family get away

This cabin was absolutely perfect for our family of four. The cabin was very clean with furnishing, decor, and amenities that were all well thought out. From the unique nature themed wall hangings to the abundance of hooks for coats and towels, everything about this place feels cozy and inviting. The location is perfect, being about 10 minutes from Carbondale and less than 10 minutes to Giant City State Park. The lofted sleeping area and lack of tub make this better suited for older kids, but we had no issues with our 5 and 7 year olds. They loved having their own sleeping space upstairs and there was plenty of space in the private driveway out front for them to safely run around without bothering the neighbors. This is definitely one we will come back to!

Beautiful, comfortable cabin close to SIU campus!

This was our 2nd stay at the cabin. We just love this place! It was a perfect spot for our family to stay while we visited our son at SIU. There is enough space for me & my wife to have a private bedroom, my two younger sons slept in the loft (which they loved, especially the view out of the window in the morning) and my oldest son was able to stay on the pull-out sofa bed on nights that he didn't want to drive back to his apartment. Every detail of the cabin has been thought out. The full kitchen meant we could cook meals there and didn't have to drive to a restaurant every time. We played games on the kitchen table and my sons loved jumping in the hot tub in the cold weather. We used the camp fire pit and made s'mores. The cabin feels like it's out in the country, deep in a forest, but it's actually only 10 minutes from downtown Carbondale and the SIU campus. It's very comfortable and clean with modern fixtures, but made to feel like a country cabin. We just loved it and highly recommend it! We have wonderful memories of our time there!

Cabin Luxury

We were expecting a simple, quiet cabin in the woods for a brief get away. Although listings often use flowery adjectives like luxurious and cozy, this one was truly a standout. High-end kitchenware, unique and regionally appropriate decor and art, leather furniture, a Pendleton wool blanket for the couch and so much more made us immediately feel like a welcomed guest at a friend’s home. It was perfect!
