Great place! So relaxing!! Love the kitchen! Wish we could stay longer! The windows have blinds. We had a small car and was able to turn around in the driveway. Close to everything! All was perfect! Wish we could stay longer!
The good: great location, lots of great restaurants & 30m from DC. Observations: the door code is not changed between guests and that is a security concern for me. Driveway is steep & no way to turn around if you have larger SUV, as I did. I had to back up driveway because it was safer than trying to back out, especially at night. There are no exterior lights on the rental side and we had use phone light to see keypad. There are doors and windows on the upper level without blinds so, at night, you can’t see out, but someone can see in, which kind of gave me the heebie jeebies. The front door needs to be slammed very hard to close so everyone wakes up if you have an early riser, like me, who steps out before everyone is up. My wife & kids, who sleep later, noted that it would be good to have curtains as the blinds are not rook darkening, allowing the morning sun to stream through. The dining table was precarious as all legs need hardware tightened. Lastly, we killed quite a few spiders (house backs up to woods and quite a good number of trees on the property, period, so understandable. Overall property is well maintained, the front door issue and lack of exterior lighting aside, and was perfect for our family of four.
