★AWD Recommended *improved driveway as of Fall 2024* The home is located off of a maintained dirt road and requires a short drive up a steep driveway. We advise guests to utilize an AWD or 4WD to access the home year round, but especially in snowy months (Oct-April). We have a snow plower always on call for our guests when enough accumulates but to really enjoy the mountain experience, guests feel more comfortable driving in the mountains with the proper vehicle. THE VIEWS ARE WORTH IT! :)
Our home is about a mile into the neighborhood from highway 285. While it’s not an overwhelming sound, you can hear the highway from the exterior deck as cars echo off the mountains.

My friends, pup Lucy, and I had a wonderful stay at this mountain home! My dog and I loved the fenced-in backyard that was connected to the deck. My friends and I were able to spread out while we worked during the week. The home had everything we needed for at-home meals and was a short drive to Bailey (we recommend checking out Aspen Peak Cellars!).

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience. We love hearing you enjoyed the home and area - Aspen Peak is such a unique experience! We look forward to any future opportunity to host you again!
Megan and John were very responsive and went above and beyond with making sure you’re informed about the area! My family loved staying here and my girls had so much fun having their own area downstairs. My daughter described the stay at the cabin as peaceful and I couldn’t agree more! I will definitely be staying here in the future and recommend it to anyone who asks for a recommendation on where to stay in the area.

Love this house! The layout and amenities were fantastic. We really loved the deck and grill. I would love to give 5 stars, but we did not like being so close to a highway; there was a lot of traffic noise. Also wish there had been an awning or something over the deck, it was very rainy during our stay and with no cover of any sort we could not enjoy the deck as much as we would have liked. However, we would absolutely stay here again.

So glad to hear you loved the house and amenities! The home sits a mile into the mountains from the highway. We do mention this in the listing that cars can be heard echoing off the mountains but many guests enjoy the views that come with the open setting as well as convenient access for exploring and all things local! :) There is of course nothing we can do about weather and while it is a bummer on vacation, we do have sun shades over part of the deck (in non winter months) and like to keep the majority open as it is a prime spot for amazing star gazing! We hope we get the opportunity to host you for a less rainy stay to best earn your 5 stars! Thank you and happy travels!
Such a beautiful home and great accommodations for our kids and grandkids to join us as we attended a wedding locally. Thanks for being flexible with us on the times and just being so responsive.

We loved the house. It was beautifully appointed and so clean! The game room is so nice with many fun things to do. We were able to bring our dogs and just enjoy the incredible space. The views are incredible and we will definitely rent again when we need to get away from the city and the stress of careers. Megan was very responsive and helpful. 5 stars definitely!

We were in the Denver area for a baby shower and wanted to stay closer to the mountains. Very nice place. Loved the gas fire in the evening. Host was very responsive to questions. Driveway does require a vehicle that does not sit close to the ground, as stated in the property description.

Thank you Kristine! So glad to hear you enjoyed your stay and made memories around the firepit. We look forward to any future opportunity to host you again - each season is a unique view and experience!
My family and I thoroughly enjoyed staying at the house. All three kids loved everything about it, especially being in the mountains so they could roll around in the snow.
Any time I needed to contact the host she replied almost immediately.
There were just a few things I would do differently. The blanket in the master bedroom is extremely heavy and hot. We sweat every night in our sleep, even with the windows open. We would’ve enjoyed more hangers in the closets for our clothes, but we made do.
I highly recommend this gorgeous property.

Thank you Katlyn! We're so happy to hear you and your family had a memorable stay! We do have a bedding alternative for summer months but will consider offering it to guests year-round, as well as adding more hangers. We appreciate the feedback as we're always eager to improve. We look forward to any future opportunity to host your family again! Each season brings a unique view and experience with the Summer wildflowers and yellow Autumn aspens! :) Thanks again!
We had a great stay at this home, it’s clean, plenty of space for us, dogs enjoyed the back and fenced in area. Showers were nice, great water pressure and super clean. The beds were comfy with plenty of pillows. Loved the view and plenty of privacy. Only a few things I would recommend for the owners is better cookware. The large non stick pan was flaking, a large stainless steel pan would’ve been ideal. Also it took some getting used to not having window coverings on ground floors, maybe consider some blinds for master bathroom. Lastly, I may have missed this in listing but only bedroom on main floor is master. If you have kids sleeping in separate bedrooms they are downstairs and there is a sliding door and the garage down there as well. Not a deal breaker but this was new for us as a family. Overall this house is amazing and I highly recommend. We went into Staunton state park and did some hiking and the town of Bailey has a few cute locally owned shops. Thank you to the owners for this great place to stay!

Thank you so much Meghan! We love hearing you enjoyed your stay and visiting the beautiful area! We have since added a stainless steel pan for the Kitchen. :) Just to note for potential renters, there are privacy blinds or shades in all bedrooms. The property is on 3 acres with no direct view into other homes so there is full privacy from neighbors. And yes, there is a detailed floor plan showing the layout of the home in the listing, as well as a video walk through so families can understand where the bedrooms are located! :) Thanks again and we look forward to any future opportunity to host you again!
Thank you so much for the 5 stars Jason! We look forward to any future opportunity to host you again!
