Play All Day – Unwind Downtown in Eve.
Heart of the Hills! Family, Friends, Couples Rendezvous!
Walking distance to downtown restaurants and bars of Custer. Large parking area in back.
Step back in time in this meticulously restored 1880s saloon and brothel. Today, it serves as a unique retreat for adventurous travelers seeking a blend of history and modern comfort. The upper level has four inviting bedrooms, accommodating up to 10 guests. Unwind on the deck with the fire pit, in the downstairs space with pool, or enjoying a beverage in the chilled glasses.
Two large windows overlooking Main Street Custer with original 1880s brick walls and original woodwork. Four bedrooms are themed for the history of the era and area. The VRBO is accessed by 22 steps but leads you to a view of Custer's main street and a part of the city's history. There is a full bathroom and a kitchenette that will allow you to relax, enjoy and revive during your stay. The downstairs provides a full kitchen, two futons and large Smart TV, pool table and keg stools from the old AJ's Ore Car Saloon! There is a fire pit and patio loveseat and 2 chairs on the upper deck and a grill and two full picnic table for the lower gated area. It was the brothel in past years so we have saved the old peep access as well as other finds in our restoration process.

About the host
Hosted by Tim Gutormson
We are South Dakotans that love the Black Hills and history that we want others to experience!
Why they chose this property
This building needed some TLC and upgrades. We gutted the upstairs and added electrical and plumbing as well as refurbishing the downstairs area. Custer has a great history and Mt Rushmore Road has the access to restaurants, shopping and the sights and sounds of Custer.
What makes this property unique
We have saved the transom windows, double pcket doors, a 1921 letter found in the mopboard, the peep hole from the back door and the kegs from the AJ's Ore Car Saloon. We have researched the history of the 1880's building and connected with the 1881 Court House Museum to add to the history of Custer.
