SNOWBIRD HAVEN - BOOK YOUR SUMMER TRIP NOW!!!!!!!

Welcome to Snow Bird Haven. We are located in the secluded Rio Vista community , with our own private residents park with bbqs, pavilions, swimming area and kayak/boat launch on the Rainbow River, just a short walking distance away.
We can provide keyed vehicle access to the park. Walking gate access to the park is always available to residents. The river is the highlight of this small town, named one of the ten cleanest rivers in the country.
What a great way to get out of the snow, but still have a bit of the seasons without breaking the bank! The neighborhood is a short distance from: Winn Dixie is 2 miles, Publix and Walmart are 3 miles and 2 waterfront restaurants just 5 miles away. We can share lots of other great ideas for day trips to Homossassa, Hunter Springs and some other favorite spots.

**Small boats welcome upon discussion with owner ** We own lot next door also.

Comfy and Quaint

Short sweet but perfect

We only had a short stay but very nice home definitely will stay again this was a last minute family trip to the springs It was a blessing to find this home . Host is very nice made sure we had everything we needed. Very clean easy to find close to everything nicely decorated!

Fantastic hospitality, great location

Sharon and her husband are very kind, attentive and generous people; they would do whatever they can to accommodate your needs. The house is so charming, plenty of room and REALLY WELL supplied with everything you might need. The location at this nice community is a must, that has its own park with a private river access.

Great place to stay

Just love this home away from home. I have friends and family .3 miles away. It was a perfect spot to be close to them but also this home was great on its on. Every thing I needed was on site. Also plenty of room to spread out. I will definitely choose this place again next year!

The area was beyond perfect. The neighborhood was awesome, quiet and friendly. The location to the rainbow River was perfect and Sharon was so easy to work with and kind. The house was so cute, plenty of room for the 5 of us and so clean.

Great Quiet Home

The three of us were there for a review of our home being built and could not have ask for a better place to stay. All of us felt comfortable and relaxed after a busy day. Our trip was cut short because of the tropical storm brewing at our current home but still cannot say enough about how wonderful it was while we were there.

Very nice, clean, nicely decorated, spacious house with a wonderful hostess. Everything you need is there. There is even a big screen TV and one in the master bedroom. The lights and fans are labeled. The beds are comfortable. It is in a good, walkable neighborhood. You can walk or drive to the park which offers access to swim and float in a small area or go out into the main river. There are benches to use and bathrooms. It’s a good park. Restaurants, stores and grocery stores are all close. We throughly enjoyed our time there and would be happy to rent this house again from awesome Sharon.

Clean, pretty, close to river, perfect for family

The house was spacious, comfortable, and nicely decorated. It has been recently updated…don’t be fooled by the older exterior. The location is perfect! The neighborhood’s park and boat ramp on the Rainbow River is perfect for kayaking, paddling, picnicking and hanging out all day. It’s convenient to the KP hole and blue grotto for scuba diving. The owner is responsive, friendly, and helpful. We were even able to rent kayaks from her. The kitchen is fully stocked and made it easy to cook for the family. Great for a family getaway!

Quite Getaway

Was very impressed with the property and Sharon. The description didn't do it justice. Once inside, the house was spacious, clean, and cozy. Anything needed was there. The river access was a short walk and all convienences, like groceries, were just a few miles drive. Now that I have the lay of the land, we will be back to take advantage of the surrounding activities.

Great time's

We take a trip to rainbow river for my birthday every year and this year was the best. The house felt like a home away from home. The pictures do not do the place justice! Loved the puzzles and board games, especially when it rained. House had everything you could need for the river! The one thing I wish I would of known ahead of time is that there is only a tv in the master bedroom (dvds only) and none in the other rooms. Which we just had the kids use their tablets. Other than that this house was by far the best place we have been too! Can't wait to come back next year!

Lovely home with river access

The home is cozy & comfy with plenty of seating for movie watching, game playing, etc. The kitchen, while small, is extremely well-stocked with cookware, utensils, serving dishes, & herbs & spices! Plenty of towels & linens are provided. The only ding is the mattresses; they’re all super soft, which is tough for those of us who suffer from arthritis. But the overall comfort made it a great week! Sharon is one of the best VRBO hosts we’ve ever dealt with! She’s kind, gracious, thoughtful, and generous.

Long weekend getaway

We had the privilege of staying at Snowbird Haven over the 4th of July weekend. The home was perfect for our family of 6. It was very clean, comfortable, and we never felt cramped. The screened in porch was a great hang out spot. Our favorite part was the direct access to Rainbow River from the community’s private park. There was a nice area to wade into the springs or sit by the river!! We were able to Kayak up to KP Hole, Gissy Springs, and Rainbow River State Park. The provided tubes allowed us to tube down the river to Blue Run Park. Sharon was the perfect hostess and always quickly responded to any questions. We have stayed at several places over the years in Dunnellon, and this was our favorite!

Home away from home <3

We stayed at Snowbird Haven for a couple of nights as part of a girls reunion between four high school besties (we haven't all been together in 14 years!). The host, Sharon, is truly the kindest most thoughtful human being. She went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed. I can't thank her enough. We cherished our time at the springs and our float down the river. The house itself is lovely. We had so much fun sitting on the porch listening to nature and talking for hours. It really felt like we were staying at "aunties" house. There was plenty of room for everyone. Bottom line: Perfect stay close to everything but far enough away to feel immersed in nature.

Lovely Rental

House was very clean with all the amenities that you would need Peaceful, quiet neighborhood...nice access to the Rainbow River...so peaceful to sit there and watch kayakers or launch your own Dunnellon provides all the shopping and restaurants anyone would need We are golfers and there are plenty of courses in the area at all price range

Awesome July 2021

Sharon was wonderful with her directions, accurate pictures of the house and suggestions for fun kayaking places nearby. She was a dream to work with and the house was a perfect get away. Definitely recommend to anyone in the future. We will definitely be back soon!
