This place is amazing! Beautiful views and nice cool weather. This home is so beautiful and very clean. They have all of the amenities you need and for your pets, too. . You can reach out to the owners if you have a question or need help, they respond in minutes :). This is a five star for my husband and I! Very well enjoyed :)
We really enjoyed our stay here. The cabin is in a beautiful, peaceful location and was a wonderful place to come back to after spending our days exploring Woodland Park, Manitou Springs, Colorado Springs, and the surrounding area. The home was comfortable, well equipped, and had everything we needed for our stay. The hosts were very responsive and easy to communicate with. We did encounter a number of crickets early in our stay, which appears to have been a seasonal issue. When I mentioned it to the host and pointed out a small uncaulked gap near the shower that I suspected might be where they were getting in, he came out promptly and sealed it. That appeared to help quite a bit, and after that we only saw an occasional stray cricket. We especially appreciated how quickly the host responded and addressed the issue. Overall, we had a wonderful anniversary trip and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We would absolutely recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a quiet mountain getaway near the Colorado Springs area.
Great place to visit… Very well set up and organized… Very clean. It felt like home away from home…We will definitely book again. Amazing place to visit…
We had a wonderful time and the property was really inviting. The hosts were quick to respond to any questions or concerns. The driveway is pretty steep and I am glad we had an SUV, but it was two-wheel drive in summer and we did fine. The outdoor areas are relaxing and beautiful. We saw lots of deer and even fed one. We were hoping to see a bear but didn't. The neighbors were kind and helpful. Everything was great. We stayed as a group of five and were quite comfortable. We miss it already and would truly love to stay there again. Thank you for stocking the kitchen so thoughtfully and stocking the home with sweet activities. You guys thought of everything.
Best kept VRBO we’ve ever stayed at. Loved the location; close enough to town to be convenient and far enough into the woods to feel remote. Owner is very responsive although we never had to contact due to an issue because there were no issues. The family loved their week long stay and getting to explore the mountains.
This property it’s beautiful! The problem is no doors in the bedrooms! other think I’m not going to vacation to look for a trash can bin or put on the street so it can be picked up!
We really enjoyed our three night stay at the Aspen Grove Chalet. It was very clean, quiet, and comfortable. We ate most meals in and the kitchen had all we needed. We would definitely stay here again.
The place was cozy and host was attentive. There was multiple items available including some warm fuzzy socks. The location is great!!! We were hoping for more snow but we got to see some.
Cleanest VRBO I’ve ever seen! Absolutely perfect and organized and offering everything you could possibly need!Hosts went above and beyond for us even when we encountered a personal problem. So thankful. The fireplaces and windows made the stay so relaxing and just beautiful. We’d go back in a heartbeat.
I highly recommend this place! The hosts were very nice, helpful and responsive. They thought of every detail to make the stay relaxing and enjoyable. If I were in the area again I would definitely stay here! They went above and beyond my expectations!
We had a fantastic stay! The place was exactly as described—clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully stocked with everything we needed. Communication with the host was smooth and responsive throughout our stay. We really appreciated the attention to detail, and it truly felt like a home away from home. Would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great experience!
The chalet was spotless and very well appointed. Really nice king bed. Enjoyed the gobbling turkeys and the regular deer visits. Quiet walks in the neighborhood and a great hike at near by Catamount lake.
We were all impressed with this clean, comfortable, and relaxing vacation home. The hosts were outstanding in their communications and very helpful. The descriptions were very accurate and this is definitely a home you want to choose for your next stay in the area.
This is a beautiful home perfect for our family of four. Well stocked, very clean, very peaceful with beautiful scenery. Definitely recommend a 4WD vehicle or at least a full size truck or SUV.
The Chalet was a perfect center point for us to relax between fishing spots. We fished 11 mile, Spinney, Cheesman Canyon and South Platte River along Deckers. It’s a little off the beaten path, but is exactly what we were looking for, quiet and very comfortable to wind down a long day of fishing. The town of Woodland is nearby and has plenty restaurants and supplies. We recommend the chalet and plan on visiting it again.
Great short stay with excellent amenities and communications. Beautiful home and area. Roads could be tricky in bad weather, as is precisely listed in the property details. We had no trouble.
Very clean property. Everything you could need and it included some snacks. Like it says in listing there are no doors to loft or bedroom downstairs but wasn't an issue for us. Still private master bedroom. Saw deer from living room window.
Amazing!! Let's start with the house; it exceeded the description. Immaculate, stylish, well decorated, stocked with everything you might need along with things that you don't think of and were so thoughtful. Like hot chocolate, granola bars, lotion, bear spray, everything. Location- This is a proper mountain retreat complete with hilly dirt roads, great views, quiet, with wild turkeys and plenty of deer just hanging out. The host- Oana was just a delight. From the moment we booked information flowed and with the few questions we had she responded almost immediately, honestly a better host I have not known. My wife and I (from downtown Chicago) have been to the woodland park area and wanted a more rural mountain experience to unwind and experience peace, we got it. What an amazing experience with trails nearby and being in this mountain retreat setting really recharged us. If 6 stars was an option I would give it here! Thanks Oana!
This is a beautiful house tucked up in the mountains not far at all from Colorado Springs. The drive out to the place gets you excited to see the place..It's beyond Gorgeous!! The house is well equipped with everything from kitchen ware to any spice you need. Deer are visible right from your big open windows and the rest of the property is beautiful just to sit and look at. The Host is very tentative, if you need anything at all, you will hear back within minutes. I give the Host 10 out of 10 on communication and directions/instructions. All in all this is a wonderful place to stay and we highly recommend it. Thank you again for the perfect place for our group of four and the two fur babies to celebrate Thanksgiving!!
We absolutely loved our stay at this home!! It was my husband, myself and three kids ages 5, 7, 9. The house was so clean, well organized, clearly well maintained, the hosts were very attentive and always quick to respond/great communication, the beds were comfortable, the towels and linens were great quality, the kitchen was fully stocked with anything you might possibly need. All in all, this property far exceeded my expectations. We also saw lots of wildlife; deer, wild turkeys, and we think we saw a bear one evening. We did not spend much time in the Woodland Park area but rather used the cabin as a middle point for day trips in the area. One day we went to Cripple Creek and did the railroad and mine tour (which ended up being our favorite activity), another day we went to the Cave of the Winds (avoid going here on a weekend, way too many people), and the last day we drove up to 11 mile reservoir and went fishing and the kids caught minnows and crawdads and had a great time in the crystal clear lake. The biggest downfall was that the house is a little farther off of highway 24 than I anticipated. But the drive is pretty and it was not a huge deal. Great trip, house and memories in the area!!
The Aspen Grove Chalet and Oana (host) did not disappoint! Actually, this is probably the best vacation rental I have ever stayed in. They have this place well stocked and very organized! It was clean and had zero pet odor, even being a pet-friendly place. There are two ways into the "neighborhood" and one is very steep, you would absolutely need a 4WD or AWD vehicle. The other way is more manageable and a very experienced driver without 4WD could make it with no issue in dry weather, but the driveway is also a little steep and could cause issue. My family and I stayed here from Thursday-Monday over the second week of October and the weather was beautiful. We did drop the thermostats on the main level and loft down to 55 during our stay because it kept warm all on it's own (almost too warm sometimes lol) and it was low 60s outside. We did turn on the fireplace in the evenings, which warmed the place up quickly. My husband, daughter and I stayed in the loft and used both the ceiling fan and AC while we slept. My father stayed in the basement and kept that thermostat on 70-75, which made it VERY warm. The Chalet looks almost exactly as it is pictured, but there has been some furniture and decor changes since the professional pictures in this listing. I didn't even notice the changes until I started writing my review, and the last few photos do show the new couches. I found the place even cozier in person than the pictures! And we saw deer almost every single day right outside.
